You don't have to go to college to get into the entertainment business, but it would be helpful, to learn certain business skills and aspects. Also you could take voice and music lessons to better your singing ability.

Most colleges offer vocal training, choir, music theory and other music-related, singing-related courses. You can also take dance classes, which a lot of singers need to be able to do these days in order to perform, and maybe some theater experience to have comfort in front of a lot of people. However a lot of singers made it big without the vocal training, but it's reccomended if you want a classier job, like opera or musicals, where talent is more apprieciated than pop music.

Many colleges have Music Majors. Yes you should go because it is very hard to make it as a singer and if you study music you willl be well prepared for the REAL world with your degree. You can start a music school, teach or even find jobs at record companies because you have that degree.

No. Hell, a high school education isn't even required for singing.
All that is required is some talent, hard work, and a lucky break.
But just in case, you still may want to seriously consider college. I don't know of any colleges that a have a singing degree, but many schools do have degrees in music in which they offer courses in voice.

Go to college. Talk with a school counsler. They will help you. You can get a degree in music. There are vocal classes offered. The teacher may even give private lessons, mine does. Go for a second degree so you have something to fall back on. Not all of us can be super stars. If you become a super star you may want to change your career at some point in time.
Look at that actor who became governer "Arnold" can't spell his last name. I am sure you know who I am talking about. He his known for his movie the Terminater. His famous saying "I'll be back"
