If there is truly a lack in this age range, I would have to say there is a failing in all ages...this age should be the most vital at being a voice to making changes happen in our country...

high schools should have history and civic teachers that stimulate this in its young people...American government classes taught with a circumspect attitude...

it has been said that 9/11 happened because of complacency...if an administration does too much for the people...without truly asking and leading the people...it lulls the imparticipants to sleep...like falling asleep at a boring speech...a government that truly serves its people will stimulate action among its people....

Most if the reasons lie in the fact that issues that affect them are not getting enough attention. One of the biggest issues is Social Security, and they don't worry about that at that point in their lives. It's also a mixture of them not careing/ thinking that their vote doesn't count. Others feel there is not a candidate worth voting for, or complain that they can't get to the polls

That right now in their thoughts they might think they know what they're doing, but they're wrong, because if they will not vote right now they cannot complain in the future about anything that the future government does.
