It is neither mentioned in the Quran nor in the Bible. Quran is more a code of conduct designed perhaps by Muhammad to upgrade the Arabians to a better civilised lot. In Bible the main thrust is to accept Moses with modifications. So in the Old Testament it is written as to why red meat should be avoided and meat before consuming should be drained out of blood. Meat of one hoofed animals must not be eaten. But the Muslims do 'hallal' to drain out the blood but justify on religious grounds where as the Christians do not bother and the Jews follow on scientific grounds as forbidden

I was in love with a goat once.( hey, not a male goat. I'm not sick!) We just did heavy petting. She ate tin cans so she was a cheap date. We got kicked out of the supermarket. One day I took her to an Indian restaurant they made her into a curry dish before I could stop them. She was delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Mmmmmm curried goat!
