We both want to do this. Some people say to me the Bible does not allow for this. Could you tell me why not?

Right after the fall, when Adam and Eve were thrown out of the Garden of Eden, the only people on earth were their offspring. So it's probable that Seth and other unnamed siblings intermarried.
I guess, in God's thinking, some point was reached where it wasn't necessary anymore. I would say that now the answer is no.
Side question: this wouldn't happen to be a step- or half-sister would it?

First of all, remember that the Bible does report many things people did that were not things God necessarily approved of, such as Lot's daughters getting him drunk and sleeping with him.

Also, remember that "sister" in the Bible doesn't necessarily mean the daughter of your parents. In those days, my mother's second cousin's wife's aunt's daughter would also be referred to as my "sister".

I don't know where you live, but before you take such a step, you might want to check on the incest laws. In some places, the penalty for incest is rather severe.

For God's laws concerning incest, read Leviticus chapter 18.

No it does not. Before the time God gave the 10 commandments, then it would have been different. The world was still growing and sometimes that was the only people you had a choice to marry. But by the time that the time God gave the ten commandments, he ordered no one to marry his sister. There were enough people in the population to not intermingle blood lines

Additionally, depending on the country you live in, you can not marry your sister.

No the bible does allow for it. There are many examples of incest in the bible. Lot screwing both of his daughters for example.

It is a legal requirement that you be separated from your prospective marriage partner by at least two lines of separation. I believe that second cousins can marry but first cousins cannot.
Oh and by the way, that's just sick. Do you live in Arkansas?

No. Uterine siblings can not marry. It was prevailing in Arabian society before advent of Muhammad, but he prevented by placing these restraints in the Quran itself and attributed to revelation, violation of which would be met with serious consequences. Even mothers and aunts like own sisters were not spared for sex till it was prohibited as per quranic provisions.

In the bible, there is brotherly love,Godly love Neighborly love spouce love and even love of your enemies. But the scripture is plain that one does not have intimate relations with ones own sister. Ref Duet 27:22 and Lev 18:9. That type of relationship is called "incest" This is not to keep you from loving your sister anymore than does it keep you from loving your brother. To marry your sister and to procreate doesresult in deformites in the fruit of the womb. Please have mercy on such a one, they are innocent. Satisfy your lust in a more acceptable manner where you harm noone. Written in love of all my bretheren......

No

Deuteronomy 27:22 "Cursed is the man who sleeps with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother."

Note, this was not forbidden until the establishment of the Law,
Abraham married his half-sister

no, you can't marry your sister. The Bible is looking out for the gene pool, I think. You can get really scarry mixes in the DNA if you do that.
