Often bachelor degrees are awarded when enough course work of a varied content meets the requirements of an accreditation organizarion. For example an engineering degree may require English, literature, psychology, economics, history, etc. to prepare a well rounded professional. Employers may accept the degree as evidence of certain specific and general attainment.
A graduate diploma may refer to a course of instruction in a speciality with far less frills and (possibly?) less academic time. For example a nursing diploma may provide less "hospital administration" than a bachelor's degree in nursing. But diploma nurses may have more experience on the wards. Diploma nurses may be excellent nurses but supervisory positions will likely go first to degreed nurses. Hope that helps a little.

What is a "graduate diploma?" If you mean "graduate DEGREE" then the difference is 2-3 more years of school specializing in a subject.

A bachelor's degree is just your basic undergrad degree. A graduate degree is your Master's degree. You have to have the bachelors before you can get the masters.
