All the Grace that god offers through His Son Jesus Christ is worthless without repentance on the part of the person asking for grace.
Repentance means to turn away from that activity or thought.

It doesn't matter. The story of Jesus is about love and forgiveness. It is about the reality of the power of God, and God's love, and life after death. If a person does not believe in that, it matters not whether they hear words such as "repentance" or "grace." If they believe in that, then they will repent and receive grace. Right? Or have I misunderstood something?

No. Neither should grace be preached more than repentance. Both are important.

Both should be -they tie into one another. I think you might need a little repentance in order to recieve some grace from the Almighty. At first. God Bless You

I think it should be "preached" or rather taught equally. It seems to me that I keep meeting "born again Christians" who believe that they have a free ticket to Heaven, and nothing at all is required of them except to believe. I am no expert, and maybe my beliefs were tainted at an early age by religion, but I just don't think it works that way. I think God has put some responsibility on us as well. That there is a certain way we should act, and a certain way we should treat others, and that it is our responsibility to repent when we screw up. But hey, that's just my opinion.

Well, you must be repentant to receive grace...
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (We are all sinners) Repent and be baptised for the remission of your sins. ("Repentance" step) Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? ... Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? (Paul was talking to a body of believers when writing this episile. Logically they had already confessed belief in Christ, Repented of their sins and been buried in baptism to be cleansed of them---thereby being in Christ "...where all spiritual blessings lie.")
Faith - belief that Jesus is the son of God
Confession - before witnesses of that belief
Repentance - turning away from the sins of this world
Baptism - "Not the putting away of the filth of the flesh but the like figure of death which does now also save us..." The means by which we get "in" to Christ...
Walking a New Life - (Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children....walk as children of light "in" the Lord)
Best preach it all, if you're going to preach any...

Well if you could get 'grace' without 'repentance' then I would say no. But then that's not the way it works.

Romans 11:29
"... the gifts and calling of god are without repentance..."
Without the grace of god there would be no need for repentance.

The best preaching is your life lived.
What do others see in you, in your life? Do they see repentance or grace? You are a reflector of his glory, so your view of Him and your relationship with Him is what is reflected to others. That's the real preaching.
