where is best breakline between kitchen and dining area colors. Center of counter top? This is open concept of kitchen, dining and living room with just one change of color in kitchen area.

If there is a cabinet above the counter, then use this natural line to make your color change. If not, you may want to make the color break on the kitchen side of any eating counter/bar or dividing wall.
You might want to get some of the blue masking tape that painters use, and create a line on the wall (ceiling to floor) before you paint. Doing so will allow you to visualize the break and make an educated choice.

It is due to climate and geography.. given no further mixing of races, migrations, etc. All people in North America will look like Native Americans in 10,000 years (How's that for Geronimo's last laugh), all South Africans will be uniformly black, people living in Hawaii will look like Don Ho etc. it's an adaptation to environment. Of couse we have an interconnected world these days so who knows what we'll look like that far into the future.
