but then every time you turn around are condeming someone for their beliefs? For example, the town I live in has a church, with many followers I might add that actually have speakers come and tell everyone how "evil the mormons are" giving out brochures against us, videos, etc. I do not attend church as I should but I can tell you that I can NEVER, EVER remember anyone standing up saying "watch out for those baptist, catholic, atheist, etc," I do not, nor will I ever knock anyone for what they do or do not believe and if you feel like sharing your beliefs with me rather it be by handing me a pamphlet as I'm walking out of the grocery store or sharing your testimony with me on my front porch then so be it. I'm sure everyone has their reasons for trying to convert. Isn't their a scripture about saving just one soul or something? Like I said I don't get to church much, sorry. But, don't put people down or judge them for what they believe. Judge not lest ye be judged. something like that.

true! I cannot stand how judgemental the church is. I am not saying I am not judgemental but I am trying not to be. Although I have heard churches preach "Watch out for those Catholics, they arent real Christians and need to be converted" I totaly disagree with it. What gives the baptists more of a salvation than a Catholic? the same thing that gives a Christian more salvation than a mormon. It doesnt! Although many people will say I am not a Christian for this, I disagree.
From a Christian point of view, they think they are responsible for telling the world about Christ. Which they might be, but its the way they tell the world. Not in a condemning way, but in a loving way. Not in an imposing my religion on you way.

Ahh, finally! An intelligent observation Mormonborn---The truth is, is that there are two ways people come to their Father---either they felt His love, or they felt the heat!!!
People who preach contention and think they are teaching anyone is an insult to those very teachings they CLAIM to uphold. Jesus taught us well, read for yourself in Matt 5:43-48---this is where Jesus taught us to love even our enemies.
But let me add, Mormonborn, that more and more, it's being proven without a shadow of doubt, that it is NO MAN who holds the power to save people, neither does he is any way have the RIGHT to dictate whether another is going to heaven or hell---FOR NO MAN KNOWS!!!
Unfortunately, Mormonborn, we can only be responsible for ourselves and those who depend on us to teach them (i.e. our children). We, individually, must carry out the will of God. It is by our fruits that we shall be made known as Children of the the Most High. When one truly has Jesus in their hearts, it is not necessary to say to anyone, "I am a Christian..." for it shows through our actions. And it is in this way, we teach others, by example, what a TRUE Christian TRULY is!
Of all the amazing gifts we take for granted amongst this busy, greedy world, the greatest of them all is Love. Jesus talked alot about it, and more people should take the time let Him instill that valuable moral into their hearts.

People say "watch out for those baptist, catholic, atheist, etc.".

Mainly people speak out against another group because they see something in that group that they feel will hinder them (if not keeping them) from heaven.

And there is truth in that. But what group does not have error. The main thing is that we believe God and do what we understand, not choosing our beliefs so we can justify what we want to do.

Hello,

First of all, the Bible tells us to judge others. The verse "Judge not lest thou be judged" is mistranslated. Translated correctly, it should read "Do not judge rashly else you be judged rashly."

Second, I've had many of your brothers try to tell me that my faith is incorrect. I must ask you how you interpret Alma 7:10 or the place in Doctrine and Covenants which states that Joseph Smith was unable to translate some of the characters on the tablets which the angel Moroni gave him (the exact location that says that escapes me right now).

I do this not to put you down, but to try to help you. Anybody who approaches you and calls you evil simply is throwing the stone to hide their hand. I beg of you to do careful research on both religions, and then decide for yourself.

yeah, these so-called christians forget that verse that says "judge not lest ye be judged" as well as "trying to get the speck out of their neighbors eye while ignoring the beam in their own".......there's a word for those kind of people.......HYPOCRITES. I also believe it says that "by their works ye shall know them" so just take it with a grain of salt & try to live a good life & not worry about those people.

You must understand that all religions are Man made.
Secondly it should be understood that there are people out there that can only feel good about themselves if they are knocking some one or something else.
The I'm OK your sick thing.
Since these religions are made up of men and women it is only natural that they would take on the characteristics of those insecure people.

One of the less charming aspects of human nature. In too many cases, one group claims omniscience over a question of faith, to the exclusion of all other perceptions. This is narrow minded at best, and can lead to war and destruction at worst (see Crusades, Inquisition, Islamofascism, wars of the Reformation, Turkish slaughter of Armenians, etc.). Your best bet for escaping such a badge of dishonor, is to live your faith to the best of your abilities, don't cram it down other people's throats, but be ready to discuss it in a friendly manner if asked, and ignore the morons.

Lets see, aren't you making judgment by this question, and am I making judgment by asking you?Jesus said Judge not lest ye be judged,he also said when ye judge, judge righteous judgment, and show judgment, mercy, and faith. If we are judging according to the judgment God judges then we are not wrong, but we are supposed to be edifying the body of Christ to help someone not pointing fingers or doing the I have it and you don't thing.

Hello and thank you for reading my mind. Also, about the term, God FEARING christians- whats so wonderous about FEARing god? Why, also, is the Christian religion based on a BOOK? It seems that the bible is more of a history book. And of course we can learn from what people already did.But then, ought I to grab my history books and start preaching based on what it says?

I agree that some Christians are judgemental. However, what some people (mis)interpret as being judgemental is really the desire of a Christain to save your soul.
