I believe we should be there to help in cases where there are people trying to form a democracy, but i do not believe in taking over a country and putting in our form of government. YOu can not force a change on people, only help them when they choose one. We should help in cases where people are being innocently murdered because of their race or to help but not to take over a country. We are acting like the communist when they would invade and take over a country. It is not right.

When the clouds of WWI settled the US was the last nation left standing. We helped Britain back on its feet, damn near rebuilt Germany and all of western Europe. Pretty much the same, to a lesser degree with Asia. Not only did we belly up to that bar, but we have been called on far to many times too. So I guess in a sense, the world gave the US the authority to be the world police.

Well if we want a chain of command, I guess you could say God. God allows Satan to do things against the people who choose to disavow His Word, His Laws and His statues. I know, you probably didn't want a Biblical answer, but that is the right answer. Those who choose might, power and greed over moral, lawful and right, chose Satan as their god and do his bidding in secret and behind closed doors. Jesus said He does nothing in secret. Satan does everything in secret. His minions have secret societies out the wazoo: from the Illuminati and the Jesuit army to the CFR and the UN, and all the sub-secret societies in between.....free masonry topping this list since it has an operation in just about every city, town and wide spot in the road all across America today. All of the members to these organizations worship the same god: Satan. They may refer to him under different names, but he is all one in the same. And he had given his authority for the U.S. corporate state to authorize police authority over all nations. You (we) are all witnessing the formation of the IMAGE OF THE BEAST!! Hope this answers your question. You can find some answers to this and similar questions at http://www.lasttrumpetministries.org which publishes a monthly newsletter on line.

Actually we were never officially given the job of world policers, No No, we actually stole it from the Native Americans. Then we gave it to the United Nations, and they, well, they had a "LA Confidential", "Bad Lieutenant", "Rodney King incident" and the US had "To Protect (US & Iraqi citizen lives) and to Serve (the good of the human race)"

It hurt to see so many "leaders" of the UN turn their collective heads on the people of Iraq. Then to find out they had secret side deals with Saddam, behind Our backs and contradictory to the resolutions those UN "leaders" wrote and signed, is inexcusable.

They are one of the biggest debtors to the UN... to get their rightful money, the UN lets them do all the police actions for them... (by the way the US is a few trillion dollars still in debt even after the two missions). Of course the UN only wants the first 2 months and the US wants the rest.

Someone has to act like an adult, and it certain isn't countries like Russia and France that were being bribed by Saddam Hussein not to invade (see the Oil For Food Scandal).

I would be thrilled if we didn't have the burden of doing what the UN should handle. But until they grow up and begin fulfilling their Charter, we're going to have to fill the void.

it how history got interpreted. say enough half truths over and over again, and the people who drink to much tainted water start saying things that support the altered history. look at the back of a one dollar bill. the floating eye stands for the illuminati, the terroristic organization thats been in power sinse anceint egyptian times. the under the pyramid, the latin phrase says "new world order", which stands for the transnational companies who only care about financial profit. the u.s. is getting set up to take a nasty fall.

By virtue of the fact that we happen to be the most intelligent nation on Earth. We are also the most compassionate, which obviously says a lot about the rest. Just because you think we are bullies doesn't mean we aren't still right.

Cliffpotts2005- you said what I was thinking but couldn't put into words. Well said.

Your nation did by being weaker than ours. After WWII we were the largest western power in the world, and we had to protect the world against communism, or other nations would have fallen to the Soviets. Now, we are protecting the world against terrorism.
