They are one in the same.

Probably words are needed by people to understand something as mysterious as God. People - without the words - would be totally afraid of God. What would they see? A light. A cloud. A burning bush. Without words, people would freak out. So words are very important to people.
But what if there were no people? Would God need words to understand something? Would he make up English or Hebrew or Arabic and have a conversation with Himself? I don't think God would need words. What if there was no God? Would words be able to create life? Would words be able to perform miracles? Without God, words are just noises that might as well be spoken by chimpanzees.
So 'important' needs a point of view. Yours? Mine? God's?

gasp,
It depends upon your understanding. If you can understand the meanings of the word 'God' only then you can understand the importance of God, the almighty. The word 'God' will enlighten you. Without knowing about "God" you cannot understand the difference between the word 'God' and 'God' Himself.
First you have to know the word 'God' and then you know about the God; it means that more important is the word (the knowledge), then comes God, the Almighty.

This is a false dichotomy; God's Word is how we can know anything about God. We are not choosing against God by going to His Word, but rather we are going to Him, as He has revealed Himself to the world.

God is more important than word of God because word of God may change time to time according to circumstances of human being but God did not change. for more info visit www.goharshahi.com and study book "Religion of God"

Why do you ask?
They are one and the same.
The Word of God refers to Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Who is part of the God head=Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Amen

the word of God and God Himself are one. As shown in the beginning of one of the gospels, (I dont remember which one) but it says, "And the word was God" therefore they are both important becasue the Word is Him.
