My youngest brother, now 23, was shaving at the age of 16.

No need to feel embarrassed or self-conscious. It's a right of man-hood, to be shaving!

Now if you were 12 and shaving... I would be worried. But, 18? Naaa... Live it up! Your more apt to get the girls! LOL

Just take GOOD care of your beard, if you choose to grow it, because a scruffy, itchy, prickly beard - no one likes... But a soft and smooth one, OH MYYYYY!!!!! =)

Good luck to ya!

All men grow facial hair. You can't walk down the street without seeing someone who has a five o clock shadow or facial hair. Some of your younger friends are just starting to grow their facial hair in nice and thick.

There is no need to be self conscious. Trust me you are not the only one that needs to shave.

You can get an electric razor. Or you can use a non electric razor and shaving cream every couple of days to keep the hair down. Or you can start experimenting by growing a goatee or something. There are women out there that find facial hair sexy.

Sounds perfectly normal to me to a) have facial hair b) to be self conscious when growing up. But I think that how you shave makes a difference, I gather if you get shaved by a barber it is really close and lasts all day. Definitely worth having it done once to get a few tips. It's not like you are born knowing how to shave! Facial hair is very attractive and masculine.

You shouldn't feel self conscious about it. Lots of lads start having to shave when they are 15. For most of them, it makes them feel grown-up. You don't need to start looking for alternatives to shaving. As for the 5 o'clock shadow, I think it's better than the smooth, baby faced look.

no, there is nothing wrong with having facial hair (5oclock shadow) unless your a woman (lol) maybe your friends genes aren't mature enough to produce such changes in their body yet. have you ever though about that???
