did you buy "as-is, no warranty" if so, you're out of luck
contact the dealership immediately, and SOMETIMES they'll either 1) fix it and add it to the end of your note or 2) say, sorry, you bought a used car
buying used is never a good idea without a warranty

if you bought the car "as is", you are out of luck....in texas the deal is they have to put on the window, "as is" and that is just what it means, however if this is a dealer used car lot, not a note lot, you may have a chance since they have a reputation to uphold, but if you bought it a note lot you have really no recourse except to take it to small claims court., also you can take out an ad stating that you got screwed at such and such place or wite lemon all over it and where you purchased it to save others from the same problem. most car lots do sell as is, which is kind of scary in the first place, huh? the only other thing you can do is to appeal to their sense of decency, however, most used car dealers don't have a sense of decency or they could not stay in business! all cars are a gamble - especially used ones! just hope you have a good, honest and dependable mechanic, again sometimes hard to find.

Lemon Law - you will receive information in a pamphlet about it when you make your purchase. My husband just bought a 2005 with 12K miles and he was given the same info that a new car buyer is given. This is only honored at a dealership, mind you - not when purchasing from an individual.
