Look at these facts: (a) Jesus said that the meek shall inherit the earth (Mat 5:5); (b) Jesus said that no man--not even Moses and Abraham went to heaven according to John 3:13 (c) Lazarus and several others were resurrected on earth--not in heaven.

Yet, we believe that those who are saved will go to heaven.
These facts amazes me. What about you?

Hi a very loaded question, but a good one. What I say from this point on is just an opinion.I think people still recognize the importance of the bible, but not in a literal form .It is essence of message not the complete word by word study and Moses parted the sea well it seems a little far fetched, but the messages still hold true in peoples hearts.Maybe that's what your sensing if it is I think its positive.I'm sure God gave us all a purpose in life that we must work and adjust and to be better persons .Same with the bible we must work and adjust accordingly to a new era in time ,in order to grow.Change is hard but healthy.

Lets use a bit of reason.
If the meek are to inherit the earth, are the nasty and arrogant to go to heaven?
I hardly think so. Also note that near the end of Revelation, John states that God will pitch his tent with mankind, no not in Heaven where he has a home already, but here on earth.....Think about it, God visible to all, here on earth? What did John see?
How about Revelation's number going to 'work' in heaven 144,000 what do they do?

The Bible states that those who are saved will inherit eternal life. If there are facts in the Scripture which are confusing for you pray to the Father in the name of Jesus to give you the Holy Spirit to Guide you. So you eventually will understand.

How can you say these are facts? There is absolutely no proof whatsoever that the bible wasn't just written by a bunch of crazy people who just wanted control. In fact, there is proof that the bible wasn't even written until many many years after Jesus died. You are just gullible; just because somebody says god told them something doesn't make it true. Your faith is not in god, but in the random weirdos who decided to write the bible hundreds of years ago.

Have actually sat down and read the thing? I mean from cover to cover? Seriously?

Try it. Then see how much of it makes sense in the modern world?

It was a book written by Bronze Age men. They had no idea about modern science.

Keep that in mind.

You are taking scripture completely out of context. You should go back & read the verses before & after.

Those saved will go to Heaven. False prophets will NOT (which is what you are for "editing" God's word.)
