Good question.
I hope to get that answer myself one day.

God took the clay from all parts of the earth and created Adam(A.S.) out of it. That is why there are so many colours and races. God is Eternal. If he could have been created then he could not have been God at all!!! This is what Islam says.
When we say God is Eternal there is no question of Him coming into existence.
As for homosexuality, it is disapproved in all religions. Even the doctors say it is a psychological problem. Eve(A.S.) was created for Adam (A.S). Allah (SWT) could as easily have created another man for Adam (A.S.) instead of a woman. Ponder....
Finally I end with these verses of the Quran....
Say: He is Allah the ONE and ONLY
Allah the Eternal, Absolute,
He does not give birth and He was not born
And there is nothing at all like Him.
(Surah Ikhlaas: Verses 1-4)

People are tough that God always was and always will be.
To some this is enough, but if you are using the brain that you were giving then you look deeper for and answer.
I don't have ea good answer, but the fact that you are asking shows that you think about God a lot. That in it self is a good start. Keep digging, and you will find an answer. I have thought about questions like these for years.

It's long story, and it's a little too long for us to grasp.
Some brains were not designed to grasp certain things, the brains of humans evolved to deal with situations on earth only.
A good analogy would be the brains of cows. A cow has no knowledge of the U.S. economy, or the gross national product, for example, and would never be able to receive any such knowledge. And our brains cannot grasp certain things, and we don't know what all we can't grasp, because not only can't we grasp them, we also can't even contemplate them; no more than a cow could contemplate the housing market. As for god, that's something you might've heard in church.
So why are you asking such quesitons?

It would be an endless cycle of higher beings creating lower beings. It really makes no sense. I haven't seen humans creating lower beings, and it will most likely never happen. The idea of an eternal creator is ridiculous. Everything that has a beginning must have an end.

If God didn't create humans, who did?
If it all started with a big bang, who lit the fuse?
If evolution is the answer, what did amoeba's evolve from?
You could ask these questions of any theory / religion. That's why all of them are based on faith.

According to the Quran, Allah tells us that He is the only creator and sustainer of all that exists and that nothing and no one exists alongside Him, nor does He have any partners. He tells us that He is not created, nor is He like His creation in anyway.

Who are we humans to raise or answer such questions?
It's a matter of faith in existance of God, and that's it!
It's better to question why 1+1=2? than to question the existance of God.
