isn't the passion movie a hollywood movie made by hollywood stars?

although i'm a christian, i don't think any film will portray history fact-by fact, and given the fact that it's hollywood-produced shows, there's bound to be some dramatisation.. not to say that the show wasn't dramatised enough, but i think it may have been worse than what you have seen.

I thought it was fantastic! It was very Biblically based, but as with any movie there was some artistic license. I'm not sure what you mean by "didn't make it to hollywood". Mel Gibson is of course a huge star.
Of course Jews were involved in the death of Jesus, as were the Romans who officially sentenced Him. That doesn't really matter though, since responsibility for His death falls on every single person, since we are all sinners and He died to pay the price for our sin. God loves you, more than we can even imagine. Open your heart to Jesus, and he will show you that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

It made it to Hollywood was nominated for Oscars thank you got your information mixed up somewhere.Jesus was a Jew I think we seem to forget that and every one in that time was Jewish or worshiped some sort of other god.It was very hard for me to watch.I thought wow Jesus went threw that much just so the world would be free from sin.It was so emotional/The only thing I did not like was the falsification of the snake in the garden but besides that I thought Mel Gibson did an excellent job directing it

it made it to the movies and beyond here in Australia....

my views?

it was good... but wasnt real enough. Jesus went thru worse than that, it was more horrific, the bible says that u couldnt even tell he was human anymore... coz the beating and gashes were so so so bad! i guess tho, if they made it more real, people wouldnt have been able to stomach it...

they depicted the devil quite well, not to scary looking, just a freak, and warping beauty into something evil. (with the baby and mother imaged turned bad). deception all the way... good interpretation.

not enough insight of the victory that was won. Jesus won!!

it was a 50-50. Good. could have been done better in certain areas...but for the budget that was used, and the lack of promotion, id say they did fantastically! and i know people who saw it were ministered to, and that people in the future who see it will also get something from it. God is and will use this movie :-)

why didnt it make it to hollywood? not enough contraversy... it was honest and truth... thats why.

I haven't seen the movie, but heard it was the exact truth.

Most movies aren't made in Hollywood, because it's cheaper to make them somewhere else.

I don't know if Hollywood is owned by Jews *lol* I really doubt that is true though.

If there's anything I missed, you are welcome to email me with any questions.

It was very sad. The movie almost made me cry and I'm a guy. There was so much torture from the movie it's like watching your Mother get tortured and there's nothing you can do.

To be honest: I have personally never seen it, nor do I wish to.

I much prefer -- and think you might enjoy, too -- the book:

The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived http://www.watchtower.org/publications/publications_available.htm
(scroll down to view the cover -- further down to contact JWs near you ... )

I also prefer the articles listed at: http://www.watchtower.org/archives/index.htm#jesus_christ

Getting back to the book ...
It puts into as chronologically-correct as can-be-figured- out, all the events in Jesus' life recorded in the Bible. Also, it provides all of the Scripture references used (per ch) at the end of that chapter. Another unique feature -- it provides questions at the end of each chapter to use in review ...

I just LOVE "The Greatest Man" (bk)!

Sincerely,
"Make Sure of All things; Hold Fast to what is Fine!"
