Christianity does not permit gay lifestyle, nor does God want us to murder, steal, or perform other inappropriate acts. Does that mean that some people are not tempted to live the gay lifestyle, to murder, steal, etc.? Many are tempted, but God wants us to resist the temptation to sin. Acceptance of inappropriate behavior is not what Chrisitan should do. Assistance to resist, and forgiveness for past sins is available. But, you can't read the bible and truly give your life to God and remain in an inappropriate lifestyle - gay or otherwise. There is help for alcoholism, overeaters, gambler, etc. Are there any support groups to help gays overcome their obsession? I don't have that answer, but you can turn to God and others who are willing to help you change your life.

Hmmm I wonder. I wonder if christians will ever just accept that not everyone is the same. I am not personally gay but seriosuly who cares if you are. I will never understand why religious people cant just let go of their old time beliefs and open up to a new view of sexuality.

Anyone who names Jesus Christ as savior must depart from intentional sin. The Apostle Paul (appointed to the Gentiles by Jesus himself) used one sexual sin as an example (ALL sexual sins apply) where a young man married his own mother. Such people are to be admonished and shunned - and NOT embrace nor bless that sexual deviancy.
Paul went on to reprimand that particular church for its approval of such a godless act.
Gay supporters miss the point and will say, "That was for a man marrying his mother" - NO! ITS THE SEXUAL DEVIANCY! The Sexual Sin. Sexual sins are Adultery, Infidelity, Homosexuality and anything apart from the holy union of man to woman. The sin of mother and child sexual unions were and are forbidden as well.
He who commits a sexual sin - unlike with other sins - Sins against the Body. And if a Christian (real Christian) commits sexual sins against the body, its an act of sin against the Temple of God whereby His Holy Spirit dwells.
Homosexuality or Heterosexual sins (adultery, infidelity, incest, etc) are still sexual sins.., All of them.

No. Gay and lesbian relationships are sinful. People who sin can still be Christians, but the key is to acknowledge that sin and repent.

christianity as in what the vatican says does not accept homosexuality.
there are other acts that it considers sins and they still accept people that commit these sins.
you drink when you are thirsty, you go to church when you are in need of pardon for your sins and the church does not refuse you, contrary to that they are willing to help.
only thing is that if you are gay, why would you want to go to its places of worship andaccept the vatican's view on homosexuality and its incorrect view on it (as i see it) .
you can practice all other aspects of the religion, read the bible, be a christian and homosexual and be happy as the bible does not clearly say that it is againsts gays, it is what the vatican has interpreted from it which is not necessarily correct.

According to Christianity, homosexuality is a sin. But then, Christianity says that all of us are sinners, and that all sins bear equal weight. So homosexuals can still be christians.

Yeah in a way they do. Queers need love too. But they should probably have their own churches. Anybody belongs to Christianity if they think they do. It's all in your mind. It's all imaginary.

Christians do not make the laws. God's law is clear. We choose to walk with God or not. If we do not want to " walk humbly with God" as the Bible suggests then we might pray to know Him more and to love Him more because He will not force us to do His will. It is our own choice who or what we follow.
