I know lots of people who use X-Trails and they are completely satisfied about their Xs.. Looks gr8 and the design does not harm the masculinity of a man as it has a rugged look unlike most of other candy SUVs. The turbo ( or the high-powered one) doesn't give good gas milege but the stardard engine gives decent performance and good fuel econ. It is an excellent vehicle.

nissan tends to be behind the curve as compared to other jap auto makers in both quality and technology. this is obvious when looking at resale values which essentially measures the useable life left in a vehicle. Another example is how they made a big deal of their electric locking rear diff. Toyota has had selectable lockers as early as the 70's and electric lockers in landcruiser front and rear for 15+years. However it is likely equal or better to an american suv.

Put it this way, any manufacturer that designs their electric windows to work under water has to be fairly confident in the quality of the core mechanicals (yes thats the X-Trail i'm talking about).
