Native Americans? No, no people are native to the Americas..........?

The white people invaded nothing. They built a country by blood, sweat and tears. These so called "native Americans" came here from Siberia only 20,000 years ago. The U.S.A made treaty after treaty with the Indian then the Indians would on the war path and break the treaties.The uncivilized Indians massacred and raped many thousands of innocent women and children.The Indians were raping, killing, enslaving, and stealing, etc. from one other untill the whites came along with their law and order and put an end to such misdeeds.Most Indians are pampered, spoiled, lazy and do not work getting drunk daily on their reservations at taxpayer expense. The taxpayer also pays the Indians' other living expenses via twisted welfare laws.

your facts are not all correct, but your heart is in the right place.

1. If you go back, your right, Mexicans killed civilizations to extinction to have their country, we did not do that here, and if you follow that thinking, Asia should get canada, america, and mexico back at least.

2. America WAS NOT built on immigrants. Out of all people living and dead, 14% were immigrants, 84% were citizens that built America.

3. We had ostend manifesto. Mexico has La Reconquista, and it aint gonna work. We have just as much if not less blood on our hands than Mexico do, but there's no one alive to take the blame for that - in fact, not only did the Indians today get over it, they want the border CLOSED that remarked here.

In any event, your heart is telling you the truth: That America is being lied to and fleeced to give up her language, heritage, citizenship rights, American freedoms, land and states to give them up and over to a foriegn nation with a tear in our eye.

I see more of a dead cold weapon in my hand before we allow Mexico to finish printing manuals on how to get here illegally, and go into the next phase, legal or not, and start printing manuals on how to cede states back to Mexico. They aren't fooling anyone but who matters- Congress.

So now everyone is a citizen cuz no one is a citizen, the end of the American citizen is upon us.

Not that you deserve a response.. we really should let you dwell in your ignorance... but I feel sorry for you...

In reality, the benefits Indian people receive are those that have been legally negotiated through treaties through a trust relationship that the U.S. govornment formed with many tribes. They represent an exchange-millions of acres of ancestral lands worth millions of dollars, which in turn, enriched the federal Government as well and millions of non-Indians, in exchange to certain benefits and services...

They forced our people to live on the worst possible land that they could find. Often times when they would find something valuble about that land, they would take it back. They made promises about the people being able to keep their livlihood and make some sort of living. Some of which are promises still being broken today. Most misdeeds, in which you speak of, did not take place until the white people came.

As far as Indians being pampered, spoiled, lazy and drunk.. of course some are.. SOME of all kinds of people are that way. Think of the reasons Indian people were introduced to alcohol. We never had alcohol before the white people came. They gave it to the Indians to get them drunk so that they would sign their land, and lives away...

I take it, by your little knowledge of the Native American people, that you have never lived on a reservation, or been to one at that. Maybe if you did, you would not have such a harsh opinion.

at the end of the 20th century, the Native people had clearly rebounded from the past centuries of colonization, forced assimilation, and cultural genocide. We are a proud people. We do not let ignorant racist people such as yourself put us down and we are only growing stronger. We have problems within our community, sure, but we are learing more and more how to deal with them.

It's silly to sit here and argue about 'what' we should be called, Indians, American Indians, Native American, Natives... We are what we are. Just leave us alone.

On a side note..if you feel so strongly about the way that the government deals with us now, why don't you leave America! then you won't have to pay taxes

I don't know where you get your information from, but Indians are far from being lazy or pampered. I come from a big family 8 siblings and my parents worked two and three jobs to keep from asking for help from the government. They could have been eligible but were just too proud to accept help of any kind. Their families were the same way. They would always be the first to want to help someone in need but were just too proud to ask for help of any kind. It is rare you will find a Native American getting public assistance. They are a very proud group.
You need to study up on History and read about "The Trail of Tears" and you will see who was mistreated.
I don't even drink, most folks in my family don't, but a lot are tobacco smokers. Indians do love tobacco.
I am Cherokee and proud of it. You have no right saying negative things like that. There are good and bad in every race. Most of the Indians I know are good, hardworking, honest folks, with more then average pride..

You have issues and apparently really know nothing other then what your warped little world has told you to think.

From the people talk to, they are among some of the poorest of this country because they were shoved onto sucky patches of land that was hard to survive on and left to rot. And they have had to choose between staying there and most being poor as dirt and being discriminated against, or leaving there for a chance at a better living and leaving behind their family and their hole identity to who they are as a person and STILL being discriminated against.

For your information, WHITES have been some of the hardest on people, were FAR more barbaric, and were doing all that crap already themselves! So they were HEROES that saved the "savages"? I think NOT! Most were not doing any more damage beyond the need to protect their claim to land and other resources for their own survival. They are some of the most generous people possible.

Here's a bit of history for an idiot like you... Did you know that "scalping" was not practiced by like 99% of Indian tribes/Nations? Guess what, it was pretty much the whites who brought that here! And as far as I can remember it was introduced as part of the system of the bounty for how many Native people had been killed and the murderer would be rewarded.

The Eastern Indians (Cherokee, Creek Nations) were past warfare and into agriculture by the time the whites came..otherwise things might not have progressed as they did.

nations....the res has to ask permission from both state & federal
levels do just about anything....
Having some knowledge of my "white " ancestors (of whom, I am equally proud, by the way)...the Europeans were almost always embroiled in some national or local warfare, violence....

You might want to study the culture of Native Americans a bit more than old Hollywood depictions and the bathroom walls of your favorite redneck bar. Even some of my cowboy friends acknowledge that the settlers and the US government were the first to break treaties, and the army has been cited in their own share of crimes and atrocities. I find that a significant amount of non-Indians are "pampered, spoiled, lazy" and get drunk, but it's always highlighted more when a native person does it and thus becomes more associated with that culture because of warped and ignorant perspectives.

and the indians aren't as you say "pampered , spoiled , and do not work getting drunk daily on their reservations at taxpayers expense" if you lived there you would see that they are usually in pretty bad conditions at the reservations and hardly get sh*t. the reservations are not pleasant places so just accept the native americans as you would other races (assuming you accept any other races).

In addition to Indigo's comment, the settlers also introduced various diseases to the Native Americans. YOU of all people should know, you have an STD in your pants and you're not even telling your boyfriend! Did you know inbreeding is illegal? Going with your logic the only true natives would be Adam and Eve. Everyone since them moved into the area that they lived in. Therefore there are no native anybodies anywhere.
