How can we get rid of crappy gangs(i'm super fed up with the killings and tagging or crimes)?

I'm not from a super big city but i'm from CA. and there's gangs everywhere. I hear in the news about shootings, killings, then i also see alot of grafitti.. and we were even robbed( our gardening tools: blowers, etc) some time ago, even though we live in a good neighborhood. Are we ever going to beat these bad people.. they seem to be running the world now. what's up with this...And more and more young guys, starting in highschool seem to turn into gangsters. GOd, i'm tired of it... why doesn't the police just put them in an island forever.

You cannot stop crime. No matter the consequences, people will exercise their free will. What can you do? Do not support anything gang affiliated i.e. slang, clothing, attitude. Make it unacceptable in your life. That doesn't mean your safe from it, but if you don't support it in any way then you help the problem. And if it means your life give them no respect. Buck the tiger.

If possible why not just Move somewhere else.gangs have been around forever and they aren't going anywhere.There is only so much the police can do.I consider myself lucky and I live in Ottawa Canada and I have never came across "gang ****" I know it exisits here but I keep to myself.I must say this not all motor cycle gangs are evil.They are getting a bad rap and they should back off and stop the real terrorists.

I feel the same way you do!
I came to the Antelope Valley 16 years ago and I never saw ANY tagging until about 5 years ago. Now it's everywhere.
It's the most childish, sub-human and animalistic form of 'territory marking'.
We even have a new prison here, and it's not being used anymore. I don't get it.
I don't know what to tell you, but California has turned into 'little gangbanger territory' and I'm sick of it, too!

I'm sorry but you sound like a priviliged person (in a "good" neighborhood) who is clueless about the world outside your own little world. Put them on an island? It seems like you harbour as much hate and vengeance as the people you are accusing. Maybe that's part of the problem.

EVERY able bodied male was expected to be armed, trained, and ready to defend against "all enemies, foreign or domestic." Organize your community watch. Arm yourselves as well as your local government allows. Patrol, arrest, resist. Don't count on the government to protect you. YOU hired the police.
In this "Government of the People", we are the weak link. Rule yourself better, and the gangs go away.

Get together with a whole bunch of other people in the neighborhood and have a meeting with the Police and then they'll target your area a whole lot better than they have been.
