Hey guys, i posted a response to someone that needed help with english conversation and she contacted me which was surprising. it's like a message board thingy and people from my city post needing help or offering help or services. So we're going to meet and i'm going to help with conversation. However, the thing i'm worried about is that since i'm not good at conversation myself, how can i teach it? i mean, i don't have friends, i ialmost never talk..But i still would be able to help a foreigner. The thing is that, this foreigner girl in her writing seems like she commands the english language much better than me. so, is it even worth it..should i just tell her NO ican't cause i suck? or should i go through with it and see what happens

I think you should definitely go through with it,its your chance to test your capability in english because you should start speaking
english at some point so here is your chance so don't let it escape you because you might learn from each other.
so,go for it :)

Instead of teaching her conversation, teach her conversion, how to convert things on the money market. Or better yet teach her conservation. Teach her all about conservation. Make sure you get paid up front though.

Later on you can say "Conversation?? OH! I thought you said conservation!!" That will be a good disclaimer. Just make sure you got paid up front though.

You shouldn't meet up with people you know over the internet. Just tell her that you don't really know much about conversation and that she'd be better off reading about making conversation or speaking English.

"Those who can, do; those who can't do, teach" Not really, I've found that to teach, it helps a lot if you can do it too! If her command of English is that good already, she may be interested in learning colloquial terms: slang, if you will; idioms, and all the other stuff you just have to live with to learn.

You're right you do suck at this! LOL, I found alot of mistakes in your paragraphs. As I see it you have two choices. You can either tell her that she doesn't require your help, because she's good at it already, or, brush up on grammer and spelling and bring her further along. Good Luck.....

if you really trust her, you should meet up. it's a good practice for you and her but you should tell her first that you are not an expert so she will not expect you to be.
