A pub in Ireland. The bar is the long counter you stand at to get a drink. I can understand why people would want to recreate the craic in other countries, because the grass is always greener on the other side. However it's never as green as it is in Ireland because it doesn't rain as much anywhere else!
Also, smoking in pubs in Ireland has been banned for over a year now, so irish 'bars' (not an irish term) should be light and airy, serving bacon and cabbage for dinner, with a good pint of Murphy's on draught, and some great local music afterwards.

Live music (not amplified), open fire, lots of wood, kind of dark.
NO NO NO NO , absolutely NO TV screens.
Good quality drink and possibly food served as well.

lot of wood, lot of good friends, lot of unknown, yet friendly people, good music, lot tobacco, good food, lot of chicks.... evenmore drunken chicks... and hell of a fight at the end of the night with flying teeth and bloody noses...
