Girl, I'm sorrry to say this but those memories are going to be with you for a long time. They cannot be erased. You will get over the person though. See, I agree. I hear men saying that some women are emotional. I'm not one of them. To tell you the truth, I dont give a flying fart what wants to happen to my relationship. I think I'm better off by myself. Me and my so called boyfriend are on the verge of breaking up and I dont feel a thing. People say that I'm an icequeen but I dont give a ****.
Girl, you shouldnt let your guard down too much, because you can get hurt. My advice to you is if you enter another relationship, dont get too attached. You'll get over him soon, dont worry. You can try blocking your mind from the memories you had with him but they are always going to be in your mind. Good luck.

The only thing I can say is that time really does help - even with the memories in your brain that keep coming back to haunt you. I understand exactly what you are talking about & always wondered if I was the only one who had that happen!!!! I hate it!
Just work really hard at directing your thoughts to other things & in other directions when it starts & you feel yourself getting upset & emotional. It's only been 4 weeks for me & I'm not over this by a long shot. Hang in there & work hard at feeling better - it will happen in time!!! Good luck -

When you find yourself thinking about him and the times you spent together, allow yourself 5 minutes with those thoughts, and then force yourself to focus on something else.
Do this each day, and eventually those thoughts will dissipate. There is no sense beating yourself up every day about a relationship that no longer exists.
And all in good time, you are certain to find another...but in order to do that you must learn to put those memories behind you.

you can't. I know what you are going through. Time heals.. after a while you will accept what happened and be able to move on. Why forget about the good times though? They say that over time you tend to forget the bad things and remember the good. Just give it time. You don't have to forget.

severe BS. Love would not exist. And if it does, it would not very last perpetually. i'd get into information (that's my in demand topic of dialogue). yet i will summarize it by ability of putting forward this: we are programmed to reproduce. And with out the sensation of meant "love," we will be unable to. Love "exists" for one purpose in reality. Reporduction. as well. the quite holiday is garbage. it really is in order that human beings purchase better sweet than familiar, damage one yet another's hearts, and annoy the friends of those who've Valentines. (operating example, i have had to spend the previous month listening to non-end chatter about my stupid pal's Valentine's Day date which includes her beau who's 6 or 7 years older than her...and he or she continues to be a center-elderly youngster...it really is tousled.)

who says you have to get rid of them, they are part of what makes you. eventually someone else will come along and you will make new memories to start replacing these old ones, but ive found that some memories just never go away and thats OK.

Now bitter memories will overwrite the sweet memories by and by. You need not do extra efforts for that.

you dont have to deny yourself of grieving over the end of the relationship..
You dont have to forget of delete.. You will feel much better if you tell youself "I really loved that man, we had good times and bad and I will find love like that again"...
Let yourself feel or you go crazy..
