The DAvinci Code. The holy grail is supposedly the chalis that Jesus drank out of at the last supper. Was Jesus married? We may never know. If he was, then one of the main basis of the Catholic church is threatened. Priests cannot marry b/c Jesus supposedly did not. If they have to admit they are wrong on that aspect, what else should they admit too? It's a secret worth keeping at all costs. The "concern" is, shaking the foundations of an institution that is over 2000 years old, the Christian faith. As I recall, the last thing the Catholic church admitted to, was that, in fact, Galileo was right, the earth revolves around the sun. And this was about 60 years ago.

The gentleman's name was Da Vinci.
The holy grail, according to legend, could be anything from the chalice used at the Last Supper to any artifact that was touched by Jesus in his lifetime.
That notion that Jesus could have been married and fathered a child (children?) has rocked the foundations of religious theory in many areas. The book The Da Vinci Code, was fiction. But it has taken on a life of it's own in many literary circles and in many churches around the world. Many call the theories put forth 'blasphemy' -
Personally, I find the notions amusing - the book has managed to cause controversy worldwide. It's author must be smiling.

well if he wasnt than how could the people of his time respect him it was part of what he taught. some say that the definition that gives them holy grail also says (in putting the first letter of the second word at the end of the first)holy blood referring to a child. the south of france kinda worship a person they for some reason believe was the daughter of christ.the uproar is due to the terror of them being wrong for all these years. they teach mary magdolin was a prostitute (which i be live it was king james who admitted that he sorta made that up in his translation)and i kinda think that the davinci painting of the last supper does have a woman sitting next to jesus. i think the man existed but im NOT christian i just try to absorb all of the info i can to remain open and unbiased

The holy grail is allegedly the chalice that Jesus drank out of at the "Last Supper" before he was crucified.
The Chatholic/Christian churches have long strugged to project an image of jesus as otherwordly, and completely perfect and free of any "human" flaws, the idea that jesus could be a married man and had sex would be considered blasphemous, even though Jesus was technically a mortal.

The Holy Grail is believed to be the cup that Christ drank from at the last supper....We as Christians follow the teachings of Jesus that he is deity...our salvation depends on the deity of Christ..Jesus was an example for Christians to follow and he taught that he was the bridegroom of the church and that we like him should have one wife....now if Jesus was married to a woman and had children by her...he would be an example of an adulterer and what would we say about the children of God they would not be human but part God these children are not the descendants of Abraham but the descendant of God and what laws would that be under and what would be there salvation...It is a corruption and perversion of the Christian religion...Christ could pay the penalty of sin because he was not under the penalty of sin of our fathers if Jesus was just a man he would already be under sin as he was a child from Adam therefore had acquired the sins of Adam and could not atone forr the sins of mankind as his death would have been accounted as payment fo r his own sin therefore not worthy of paying for the sins of mankind.

the holy grail is supposedly the cup Jesus used at the last supper. although in Dan Brown's book it's Mary Magdelene.
the big deal is that if Jesus were married, it would throw the whole claim to his divinity into doubt. he would have to be a mortal man in order to be married. no big deal for Jews and Muslims, but hard-core Christians get their knickers in a knot over this.

the holy grail, means royal blood, yes jesus more than likely married, and considered his wife and borer of his child the holy grail/royal blood. The blood line of jesus could still be alive today, could possibly be the key of david.

Many Christians (not all) believe that sex is a "worldly pleasure", and since they believe Jesus is god, it's unacceptable to them. Holy Grail is mythology. But Jesus having sex with the Magdalene is not mythology but true according to the actual (not fictional) scriptures quoted in DaVinci code.
