i tried many ways as per windows instructions, but the worst is i can't even do reformatting to reinstall windows.everytime i ENTER to install windows xp, some messages appears like: dis-able/uninstall any anti virus...,check hdd config and for updated drivers...,run chkdsk/f to check for hdd corruption, then restart computer. But, how can i do these things when WINDOWS can't start normally.

I believe that new module of memory you are trying to install is corrupt or not compatible with your motherboard.

Download memtestx86, so you can check the ram. Burn the ISO, using ISO image writing software like Nero (In nero burning rom, select recorder and then select burn image and point to the downloaed ISO. if that sounds complicated download the boot stiffy from somewhere else. Some linux isntall disks also contain memtestx86 so if you have access to one then you could try that.

Run the test while that new module is in. If it throws out errors then the new ram has a bad sector or it is more likely INCOMPATIABLE with your motherboards chipset (very good chance if it is PC100 or PC133 ram).
