just the same as what happened to us before we were born.
NOTHING!

Just as we did not exist before we were born, we won't feel a thing after we die. No pain, no happiness.. No form of feeling.. and no consciousness to feel & understand it..

And the simple fact that you believe in 'something' doesn't make you special. The same will happen to you too.

well than do you believe that you lay consciously in you coffin or that your a ghost wondering around. the soul (scientifically categorized as existing separate from your conscious brain)continues to exist after death so i agree that you dont just die but why would you just get left here to wonder around. (im not christian)the bible teaches that there are only and will never be anymore souls created than what currently exist based on that and that commonly thinking a person without a soul is not capable of good where does that leave you.other religions teach different levels of moving on to a higher place, others, that you are destined to return to earth until you get it right (mother theresa)or as close to perfect as humanly possible, others, that your deeds in this life con troll how you will return to earth.others, that harsh deaths definitely bring you back. i just feel that your comment has not been thoroughly, intellectually, factually, researched.

I believe space and time will still exist after I die, just the chemicals that made up my body will no longer be 'aware' of it. I will return to the universe & state from whence I came, so that I can become something else.

I accept that it is natural for humans to want more than this, but it doesn't make it true just because I really really want it to be.

Death is the end. After a lifetime of excruciating pleasure and exquisite pain, death is freedom from sensation. Death is a release. When your time comes there is nothing to do but embrace the sweet oblivion.

I think you're trying to imply that we non-believers are doomed to oblivion after death? You chose Christ or Allah so you'll go heaven?

The question is actually better suited when asked of believers. You spend your entire life in anticipation of death and an afterlife that will never come to fruition. It seems like a terrible waste.

I'm glad you know all about life and death. I was under the delusion I was going to a better place when I die.

I certainly do not believe in the twenty odd Virgins waiting for me, thats about as realistic as the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

As for my belief, dead is dead. I believe that the only life after death is whatever mark you leave.

I feel that any answers to this question are simply speculation, the only way any of us will know what happens is when our time arrives.
