A dog's life is a pack. Dogs want to have a higher status in the pack. This is done by humping and getting away with it. Since you are the alpha, do not allow the humping. He is wanting to dominate you to be higher in the pack status.

You should try obedience training to make sure you enforce who is the alpha in this relationship, which should be YOU.

Dogs who hump (mine do it to other dogs) are trying to show a display of their superiority... this dog is trying to show he dominates you... Which means he doens't respect you as the alpha in the pack.

This is probably a variety of things. For one, he is establishing his dominance, and has not been obedience trained to teach him that he is not the alpha.

Also, he has never been trained or shown how to properly 'act out' when he gets overstimulated or wound up.

Train your dog in obedience. Wear him out mentally, which will lessen how often he gets overstimulated physically.
