Numbers of Jehovah’s Witnesses, for instance, quit their jobs and liquidated their personal belongings as they anticipated the world to end in the year 1975. Needless to say, that prediction never materialized.

I do care, I want people to be exposed to the truth. I do not want anyone to have a chance to say no one took time to share the gospel with me or to say I didnt understand what it was I believed. No one will ever know Jesus if their lies and deception are not exposed. The one thing I really dislike about writing online is no one knows the sincerity in which things are written. I am not casting stones but providing a light for others to see by. Paul did this same things with the Greeks when he came across their altar to an unkown God. He battled Epicureans and Stoics and many were converted through him, many were not. It is about Love. i challenge people to discredit my faith. Tell me Christ was wrong but have proof when you do. My life, my journey, my adventure and my search for the truth brought me where I am right now and I will not let others be confused by religions with agendas other than the truth.

Henry L-Belief in God is not blind, he has given us things in the Bible as to base our faith. Although it should not rely on those things alone. God is present in many things.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not accept any human prophet since the completion of the bible in the first century C.E. They believe that God's Word the Bible is his only infallible means of communicating doctrine to humans. They believe that Christ Jesus is the only head of the congregation.

(Colossians 1:18) he is the head of the body, the congregation

Jehovah's Witnesses are untroubled by a few obsolete beliefs and guesses at dates from 75, 100, or 125 years ago. Even when dates were suggested in their publications, it was always clearly presented as an idea, a suggestion, a possibility, a hopeful thing, and not as a certainty. Witness publications have NEVER, not even in the 1870's, NEVER claimed to be inspired by God. Jehovah's Witnesses have consistently pointed to the Scriptures as the only source for accurate prophecy about the future.

Would a false prophet direct 100% of attention to the Bible rather than a personality? The vast majority of Jehovah's Witnesses cannot name a single member of their headquarters staff!

(Matthew 24:23,24) Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look! Here is the Christ,’ or, ‘There!’ do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders so as to mislead

Jehovah's Witnesses reject the Trinity; they are monotheists.

What really is the definition of a false prophet?

You quoted Deuteronomy 18 in part, but it would be beneficial to quote Deuteronomy 18:14-22 in context. Beginning with verse 14, we see that God is speaking quite specifically about the future prophet that he will send to the nation of Israel. Verse 18 specifically says “a prophet I shall raise up for [them] from the midst of [their] brothers. Verse 19 says the man who will not listen to this prophet will be held accountable to God. Verse 20 says the prophet who presumes to speak in the name of God a word that God did not command must die. Now if one wants to apply this scripture generally to every single prophet (and not as it relates to the future Messiah), then such an application of this scripture to the prophet Nathan would lead to the conclusion that Nathan should have been put to death. Why? Because at 2 Samuel Chapter 7, when King David told the prophet Nathan that he wanted to build a temple for God, Nathan told him a word that God DID NOT tell Nathan to speak. It is Deuteronomy 12:29 through13:4-29 which gives us the biblical definition of a false prophet. Deuteronomy 13:13 shows that a true prophet is not identified by whether a sign comes true inasmuch as the sign of a false prophet can come true.

You are right, the so-called prediction of 1975 never materialized. This canard has been floating around for decades and no matter how many times it is put to rest, it continues to, shall we say, resurrect itself. Jehovah’s Witnesses never claimed, predicted, prophesized or suggested that the end would come in 1975. But many JW’s took a reference to that year in publications and ran with it. But to this day, people continue to claim that JW's predicted the end in 1975. It reminds me of the canard about the death of Jayne Mansfield. People continue to claim she was beheaded in that car accident, despite the dozens and dozens of times it is proved that she was not and despite the fact that she was never reported to have been beheaded. But people took the rumor and ran with it. Maybe people prefer rumors to the truth.

You mentioned that JW’s claim that Jesus is a god, meaning there are other gods. The implication being that we are polytheistic. It is the Bible that teaches that there are many gods. 1 Corinthians 8:5-6 plainly states that there are many gods and lords. 2 Corinthians 4:4 clearly describes the god of this system who is very obviously neither Jehovah nor Jesus. If we are to follow your line of reasoning then, the apostle Paul was polytheistic. And if we continue with your line of reasoning, God too was polytheistic since it was He who inspired the apostle Paul to record these scriptures.

Your citation to Acts 2:26 is not a little misleading. There is nothing in this scripture to suggest that Christ’s physical body was resurrected. If it is suggested that Jesus was resurrected in his physical body, that suggestion is an outright rejection of his sacrifice. And that rejection supports all those who say he took his sacrifice back when he was resurrected. For if he was resurrected in his fleshly body, he cancelled the sacrifice he just made. That is why 1 Peter 3:18 teaches that he was put to death in the flesh and made alive in the spirit. Yes, he materialized fleshly bodies after his resurrection but it is obvious that none was the body in which he was put to death. Else why did his followers never recognize him on sight?

Finally, you contend that Charles Russell never claimed to be the faithful servant and then you turn around and say he did. Yet, you cite neither a quote nor any source for either of your statements.

Your question does not seem to reflect a desire to uncover truth or even a desire to help others and encourage and direct them in the proper course. Your question seems to reflect a desire to attack, malign, derogate and ridicule. Scripturally speaking, where is the edification in that?

Many of us unknowingly follow false prophets from time to time.
We are like "sheep without a shepherd". Don't throw stones. "God knows who are His." It is true that there is much deception in that religion. Their is much deception in every religion I have ever studied. Jesus is the Truth. Follow Him. Love those around you. Love and pray. Contention does not disciples make.

Whatever one follows in life, controls them (check out Romans 6). Jehovah Witnesses have believed doctrines of demons and are controlled by the evil one. They need are prayers.

People do not KNOWINGLY follow false prophets. They follow under the impression that the prophet is true.

And who says I believe in multiple gods?
... the question is "why?"

You could ask me "why do I believe in God?"
... I still couldn't give you an answer, I just do.

Is belief in God blind? I don't know about you... but it is for me.
Is that logical? Not even close.
