i know that several states are trying to ban pit bulls. california is the only one that i can think of of the top of my head. i don't know if any actually have banned them yet but they should PUNISH THE DEED AND NOT THE BREED. all those jerks who are just breeding them for fighting should be SHOT IN BOTH KNEECAPS AND THEN NUETERED.

Well, dangerous dogs, like pit bulls, are outlawed in several European countries and in China, and they should be outlawed everywhere in the US (and the Americas), but so far only a few cities (Miami, Denver) outlaw them, and though not specifically outlawed there, Connecticut does outlaw "potentially dangerous animals" like pitbulls. Ontario, a Canadian state, does outlaw pitbulls.

pitbulls are permitted in most states, but many states require you to have a $10,000 insurance on them because they are known to be visious dogs. and they have been known to attack people and other animals and most times, that required to alter your life for a while

It is not because they are viscious, its because of their idiot owners. i have a 6 month old pit, and if i do not give it attention, it will bite me and bark at me if i do not pet it when it wants me two. the funny thing is that when i pet it it stops biting and barking and when i stop it starts.
