It's been like this for the past 7 days... Normally she eats all her meals, but now she only eats once every two days plus you have to spoonfeed her just to get her to eat. btw, she's nearing 4yrs old, if that's any help. I'm really worried, help!

She might feel depressed, dogs also have hormones. Give her some vitamines, niamy food, however if she does not improve within a day, take her to a vat. Just in case.

I would recomend seeing your vet, that is always the best way. Also, since it sounds like she is not fixed, is there any way she came in contact with a male? Depression could be the answer or change in hormones too. I do know that when a dog gets pregnant that they go through some of the simptoms you have described as well. I would take her to the vet for a check up, it never hurts!

This is actually calle estrus. Do leave the word "menstruation' to peopee.
I take it your dog was not meant for breeding purposes. Take her to the vet as soon as possible to rule out piometra. At this age an intact gitch can be at risk. If she is ok and does not need any emergency surgery, spay her 3-4 months after the heat is over to avoid health issues related to her status, and any unwanted puppies.
