Yes, and it has to start with the family unit. If a mother and a father teach their sons to respect and value and cherish their sisters and mum, and teach their daughters to be strong, responsible and admirable women, you will have many many children who grow up to be principled and dignified. It does not start with the government or non-governmental organisations or feminist movements...it's starts at home.

yes men need to understand the simple fact that men and women use their brain differently, experience the world in a different manner and communicate differently. once you recognize this and are aware of this and respect that you see things differently you can communicate better and uplift eachother. a whole is half man and half women. once you experience this you will learn to use these differences to balance yourself out. each sex need to appreciate nad respect the skills that the other has. i think women have a keener intuition than men. as a man you may want to respect a womans intuation and even ask us for advice. this is one example on how you can learn to be a whole person from the opposite sex.

i truly believe it should go both ways, i mean, in most places, if a man has two or more chicks he is a player, but if a woman has 2 or more guys, she is a hoe. but sometimes its the other way around, some wemon just think they can walk all over men, while they just sit at their feet and wait on their every need. so i think both men and women need to uplift dignity in general

My answer would be yes. It is important because women have been suppressed in many cultures for hundreds of years. Some where in early A.D. It was decided that men are more dominant and should only have access to certain things. This is where the it got fu#%ed up. Men and women are equal. One can not survive without the other. I think we should open more doors for them, respect them, and start teaching the young ones that they can do anything and be anything they desire.

Yes. We should respect them by treating them fairly and equally, and not treat them like sex objects or something to be obtained. How do you respect a woman, you ask? Be kind, polite, don't assume she's not intelligent, value the kinds of things she values (as they are often different from what men value), give her credit for her achievements/accomplishments, and other such things.

yes. First men should respect them. Second you should teach your sons or other young boys whom you have influence over to respect them. Third set a precedent in your life by not associating yourselves with those who do not have the same values for women as you do.

By speaking out when your fellow males wrong us. If a man in your group is talking trash about women, you must challenge this, and tell him you respect women and that he should respect women as well.

Men these days do more than their share of female a$$kissing. The phrase "man up" comes to mind.

my advice to you is "to listen". many women actually can talk and express to you whatever it is you wish to learn about them. for an example, if a man (any man, one i am dating or just a friend) came to me and asked my opinion on any issue, it would make me feel as if you cared enough to consider "walking in my shoes". i cherish an honest relationship like that.
i am sure most women do.
