hand it in to police station or return it to the inland revenue. a British passport actually belongs to the Queen!

Well if it belongs to someone else the thing to do would be to contact the person if you can, or just turn it in to a police station and they will take care of it I'm sure.

Well if you want to do 'the right thing' , you will send it back to them with a cover note explaining that they sent you someone else's passport,

BUT

If you're not bothered, sell it. there's a black market for this sort of thing and you can get a few grand from someone who is desperate enough for it.

One of the passport is false...you can't even argue about being the case of homonymous for a passport.

bring it back to the post office and inform them that you have recieved someones passport.

Try to picture yourself as being the one who has had their passport sent to the wrong address....
