A gentleman would know not to touch her pants, obviously he would hold her groceries and allow her to fix herself. He would then work his way into her pants conventionally with sweet talk and roses.

I don't think he should really do either. If he offers to hold the groceries she'll be embarrassed that a stranger noticed her awkward state. But he should most definitely not pull her pants back up for her, that would be extremely presumptuous and rather rude to handle a lady's pants without her permission.

Gentleman if he offers to hold the groceries and looks away while she puts her pants on.
Creep if he tries to put her pants on and did not take them off in the first place.

Offer to hold the groceries. Let her pull up her pants her-self.

Hold the groceries. Dangerous to fool around with a stranger's pants- male or female.

A true gentleman would hold her groceries...A gentleman is very hard to find in this crazy and srew-up world...It's really nice when a gentleman holds the door for you, so you can get out of the car
and pulls out a chair at a restaurant to help you to be seated....All you hear how a days,Is do it yourself, what do you think i am???Hes no gentleman for sure...And i won't say.what i think he is...
