I think you mean 'ulcer' and i have had one. What is it like, well that depends where it is. There are many locations and types of ulcer e.g. peptic (stomach ulcer) and ulcer that develope externally, visable on your skin. To say general what it is like well it is a painful tender sore that doesn't heal for an extended period of time or perhaps never, i would say it would be rather irratating and as i have said painful.. and it is.

I had what you call a perforated ulcer about 12 yrs ago. I had no symptoms at all. No pain, no heart burn, nothing. Then one day I felt burning in my chest. I thought it was my first case of heart burn. In a matter of 15 minutes my whole body was burning up and the pain was so bad I was rushed to the hospital.
By then I was almost unable to breath, and the pain was even worse. I was starting to pass out. I remember laying on a table on my back and blood pouring out of my mouth. Then blacking in and out I was in the operating room with about 20 hospital workers around me and a preist saying a bunch of prayers.
When I woke up, I thought I was in a dream. I had tubes coming out of every hole in my body. Strapped down, and a tv on the wall showing police cars following a white bronco. That was O.J Simson.
A while later a surgeon came in an explained to me I had an ulcer and he had removed half of my stomach. When he took the gauze off, I saw staples holding my skin together from my belly button to my chest. He also told me that I was lucky and that 1 in about 4000 people survive what happened to me. The acid that leaked from my stomach was eating up my other organs. It was determined it was caused by me taking Motrin for my knee surgerys in the past. He said most likely I would only live around 4 years or so because of all the other damage.
A few days after that, I got paratinitis. The stomach has natural antibodies that destroy parasites. My fever went up to 106 for a few minutes wich should have fried my brain. They brought it back down with injections.
After 2 weeks in the hospital, I was sent home and was back on my feet and back to work within a month. My recovery was so fast that my surgeon brought 2 other surgeons into my work place to watch me work and do a study on me. They did that for a few months.
Today almost 12 yrs later, I have a great body 5 10, 175lbs. I can eat anything I want, and I love hot, spicy, and fried food. Once in a while I get heart burn if I eat to much at one time, but I try to eat in moderation most of the time throughout the day.
So anyway. I told you just about everything. If you think you have an ulcer. You better get it checked. They are curable, but there are different types also.

Are you referring to a stomach ulcer? Stomach ulcers usually cause pain before a meal, but eating food will relieve the pain. You should see a doctor because he can give you medications either reduce stomach acid, or kill the bacteria H. Pylori (if that is the cause of your ulcers). If it is a severe ulcer and is bleeding internally, a simple surgery may need to be done to repair the bleeding ulcer.
