Here is another name I like alot for a girl but the thing is that I'm mexican-american and the name sounds wierd, the name is Amariah and it's a bible name for a boy but I like it for a girl, the other problem is that if you sound it out in spanish it sounds like I'm saying yellow.

Pick something that you aren't so hesitant with.... It will be your baby's name forever. When you find the right name you will know.

Amariah sounds beautiful.

Reminds me a bit of Mariah carrey whom i'm not too fond of. But I like Amariah. It has a nice roll off the tongue feel to it. And although the Bible says it's masculine, no one will think it is. I doubt many people name their sons Amariah.

Other names:
Artemis
Madeleine
Aerithe
Elyssa

Amarillo and Amariah sound totally different so if you say it right even with a spanish accent it still doesnt sound like the word yellow even in spanish, and thats coming from a white girl. That is a beautiful name. I named my french/ american baby Chelsie which is not biblical. I think its cool that you would give your baby a biblical name. Personally i like the name Adam, Nathan, or Micheal.

I am part mexican as well, and coming up with a name was a huge deal for me. I had to go with a name though that I was sure that my child wouldn't get taunted for in school, and didn't take forever to learn how to spell and people have such a hard time so say. I have cousins who have carried on the family names and those kids really struggle with their names and spellings and most people can't say them. I think you should think real hard about the effects the name is going to have on the child in the long run....Good luck to you and your child's name, picking the name is half the fun I think..
