A person can be a good Christian without being a homophobe. Why? Because Jesus himself said nothing against homosexuality.
Leviticus states "Do not lie with another man as you do with your wife". So, if you actually read the old testament line that is so often misquoted, in the original language, it basically says that it is wrong for a married man to cheat on his wife with another man. It also has over 300 admonitions against heterosexual sex. Are we all supposed to be lesbians? The bible says nothing about women sleeping with women, so, i guess for religious reasons, I need to become a lesbian.
There is nothing wrong with homosexuality. Everyone loves differently. As long as you don't hurt anyone, love who you want.

No, No, No! God doesn't hate anyone---and if one tells you such thing, slap them for me, if you would.
But if you're truly seekng an answer, I only hope to assauge some of your curiosity....
What is wrong with homosexuality? Well, it's pretty simple really. To have relations with the same sex is simply unnatural--meaning, it's not what the 'act', the 'need', was made for. Sex has it's purpose, which is in 'procreation'. The 'need', lust if you will, is a blessing between lovers, kinda' a 'motivation' to the drof ive. Our Father said, "go forth, be fruitful and multiply..."
He meant for us to want each other, to make 'love' with our mates so that we could fulfill 'that' purpose of 'multiplying'.
It's that simple. Men and women were made to go together in this way. Living as a homosexual is a shame, in ONLY that you will never be blessed with children...
lol this, most of the time, is a perk...lol
But children truly are a blessing, a reason for living for many a parent.
Please don't ever allow the hate and hypocracy in this world to overwhelm you, or get to you in any way. Misery loves company, to be sure. And it's a truly miserable person who seeks to hurt rather than heal, or teach, or guide.
It is NO man's place to dictate another's salvation, or standing with God. Perhaps you are not even a religious person, but I am, and I am compelled to correct such hate in this world. I truly hope I have answered to some point of your satisfaction, but if not, do feel free to write me...

By the way---to several unnamed many who posted before I had the chance---
GO BACK TO WHOEVER TAUGHT YOU SUCH HATE AND CONTENTION AND SLAP THEM!!!
You can't teach, change, or heal anyone with contention and negativity! No one changes simply because someone else doens't interpret things the same---it has to be natural or it's absolutely wasted.
LOVE PEOPLE!!!! Even our Savior stated it! The GREATEST of all gifts we possess (and take for GRANTED) is LOVE!!!

My husband and i disagree with this, but I don't think being a homosexual is wrong. I don't think people choose it,I think they were just born that way. God does love everyone the same,we are all equal. Instead of trying to get answers from people, pray to God and ask for answers about whatever is bothering you. I'm sure you will find your answers. People should not judge you. Only God can do that. God Bless ^j^

There is nothing wrong with it. We love where our hearts tell us to. The modern Christian has a problem with it because their pastor tells them they are supposed to and the sections of their bible the pastor reads to them are the only section they ever actually read. They pick and choose the laws they wish to follow and ignore the rest. For example, when you ask them about homosexuality, they will mention laws from the Old Testement. When you then ask about OTHER laws from the OT they say Jesus changed ALL of that. So Jesus changed the laws they do not wish to obey, but did not change the laws they do... It can't be both ways. Either homosexuality is ok, or all modern Christians are going to hell for failing to observe the blood sacrifices demanded by God in the bible.
As for the whole Gays can't procreate line of crap, I would love one of those people to explain about barren couples. If a gay couple can not love or be together because they can not have children, what happens to the woman who can't have children or the man who's little guys don't swim. They can't have children, Should they also be denied the right to love and marry as they choose?
The fact is that people are uncomfortable with anything that is different from the mainstream. Most of our society is brainwashed as children by a religion that was based on war, rape, murder, genocide, blood sacrifice and "miracles". They claim to have an all loving god, and yet claim he is capable of acts of evil that would make the greatest human criminals shudder, an all-knowing god that made a creation he later regretted having made (although he as all knowing he should have known that before he made them), and an omnipotent god incapable of overcoming evil.
An interesting question that most never consider when argueing Adam and Eve is about wether or not God framed them. God is all knowing, so he knew they would eat the apple, and yet he put it there. But he did NOT kick them out for eating the apple. He kicked them out so they would not eat from the tree of life and become immortal "AS ONE OF US" (note the us). He punished them for things he knew they would do. Another note is that he knew they had eaten it, not instantly, but when he found they had put clothes on. So God had them running Naked (which they also seem to think sinful).
According to the Bible marriages should be polygamous and a man can have as many concubines (sex slaves) as he can afford. The entire human race is inbred since every last human was destroyed during a flood except for ONE family. (All plants and animals died too for some reason.) We should be killing animals at practically the drop of a hat (2 birds for every period as just one example). All a man has to do to force a woman to marry him is rape her (the punishment for rape is pay her father 50 gold shekels and marry her). Those precious children that they keep using as an excuse are also at risk. Mouth off to dad once and the bible says death.
If there is a God that is all good, he can hardly be the god of the bible. Another fact people should consider about their bible is where it came from. The first of the books of the new testement was written 70 YEARS after Christ supposedly died. Other testements that claim to have been written by disciples were written over 300 years after the time of Christ. Using the bible to attack another person is foolish and a waste of time.

1st of all Scripture is quite clear about Homosexuality being a Sin
Any Sin is wrong no matter what it is and od does not decide 1 Sin is worse than the other, thus Homosexuality is not even singled out as being the least or most serious Sin.
1Cor.6:9-11 says: " neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, no men kept for UNNATURAL PURPOSES, nor men who lie with men ... will inherit God's kingdom"
If you look at that it points out who all cannot inheirit the Kingdom of God unless such persons repent of their Sins.
Apostle Paul did speak about persons who engaged in such practices that became Christians and thus departed from the Lifestyles.
By the way I am not associated with Fred Phelps and his God Hates Fags group.
Saying God Hates Fags is not a good way to witness to a Homosexual at all, not to mention I feel that Fred Phelps is not a real Christian at all and I wish the Media would stop labeling him as such or would label him as a so-called Christian or even a false Christian because Scripture is quite clear when it says "hate Sin but love the Sinner."
A good example of how this can be applied is that a former Gay who became a Christian opened a Hospice for people dying of AIDS and most of the Patients there got AIDS from Homosexuality.
The former Gay turned Christian who was lucky to have not gotten AIDS knew about the Homosexual lifestyle because he had engaged in that and never forgot about it, so he wanted to help out others who unfortunately obtained AIDS from the practice.
He did not force any to become a Christian even though he left the door open for them to decide whether or not they would repent and accept Christ as their Savior, how many did I do not know but a lot of the Patients at the place appreciated having a place to stay and be taken care of (some of them got kicked out of their Homes by their own Families and had nowhere to go till they came to the Hospice).

there is absolutely nothing wrong with homosexuality. It is natural, just like breathing. If it wasn't meant to be it would not have been around all eternity. It is not just relegated to humans either there are homosexuality in the animal kingdom as well.
What is wrong is the closed-mindedness of the assholes out there that do the bashings, the mockings... protesting at a fallen soldiers funeral because they are deluded in their own bullshit.
I am bisexual and don't have a problem with it. Goddess and God love you regardless of your sexual preference. Love has no deifnition or constraints... it just is.

Homosexuality kills a line of men & women. If one of your ancestors at any time in the past through the centuries would have been a practicing homosexual, YOU or ANY OF YOUR FAMILY would not be born...
What would you do to a person who kills your parents, brothers, sisters and everyone in their family and hundreds of your relatives including your grandparents and all their cousins, and families? It is simply mass murder, but very subtle. THINK about it.
God indeed loves those who care for his creation, not those who kill the opportunity for people to be born.
I hope I am making sense to you. The laws are based on Logic. The Lord is not a kill-joy God.

God Loves all people, including homosexuals, it is the act of Homosexuality that God doesn't like, not the people.
It's wrong because a guy is supposed to be with a woman, and they are to use their "things" for the intended purpose, if you know what I mean.

Scripturally - Lev 19:19 forbids mixing different sorts and the word "HOMOsexual" consists of a GREEK prefix and a Latin SUFFIX..)
If you mean - Same Gender Attraction: Then there is no Scriptural prohibition (some bad translations - but no word in either Hebrew or Greek that is literally translated as "HOMOsex".) And -- according to Jude (Jesus' half-brother) "HETERO" is the word associated with Sodom's sin.
But ...if you REALLY MEAN AnalSex (M/F - M/M) then you've got a real problem...
