I was married on the 10th of September last year.... Our colors were a Celery Green and an Orange color.... Sounds weird but it was so pretty.. Our flowers were the light orange roses with gold Cali Lillies.... With Greens for the girls and then just the roses for the guys... All the center pieces we used roses and the alter flowers were roses too.... Because of the time of year the price wasn't that bad either.... Congrats and Good luck.

Congrats! hmmm... September.
Chrysanthemums, gerbera daises, lilies... the Asiatic or Oriental kind. Just make sure the lilies have no pollen or have the pollen heads cut off because it might stain your dress.
Although mums don't have a pretty scent, they are strikingly beautiful, versatile and come in a ton of shapes and colors.
If you want something simple... you could go for a few bunches of orchids for each attendant, and a single one with some greenery for the ushers.
Cost effective? Calla lilles bundled up and wrapped with ribbon.

depending on your colors, I would suggest going with roses and stock flowers in fuschia, lavender, pink, & purple....very bright colors. We did this combo at our wedding with navy blue & periwinkle blue dresses and it looked great.
More importantly, keep in mind your budget for flowers when making the decision--obviously flowers like hydrangeas are very expensive, while flowers like carnations are not. A good way to get the idea of cost and to find some really great picture ideas is to buy the magazine called "wedding flowers" you can usually find it at bookstores like Borders and Barnes and Noble, and it is great--dedicated entirely to flowers and gorgeous arrangements and color combinations. I used this magazine when I chose mine--and the florist was thrilled to have an exact picture of what I wanted.
Hope this helps!

Definitely calla lilies! They're so clean and elegant.
Another good choice is gerberas. They come in a variety of colors, are absolutely gorgeous, and really are such happy flowers.
Dalias also come in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. These would be good for larger bouquets.
But if you want something that smells absolutely fantastic and looks elegant and beautiful...oh gosh. I can't remember the name of that lily. They're large, have deep pink/fuschia and white petals, and kind of trumpet out. Maybe that's what they're called.. trumpet lilies.
Anyway, congratulations and have a wonderful day of celebration on Sept. 3! But have even more fun for the rest of your lives. Marriage is about what comes *after* the celebration. Here's wishing you a life of joy and kindness.

I am working for one of the wedding companies. I'd say roses are very "everyday like". Go with something exotic like, orchids. Or very simple like daisies. Also think of a color you want to have on you wedding day. And combine the colors together. Shop aroudn for prices, if you're on a budget.

I didnt know what kind of flowers I wanted at my wedding, but when I went to the florist, she had a book to look through, and when I saw my bouquet I knew it was the one! So, my suggestion is to check with local florists and get ideas from books they have. We had stargazer lilies for my girls and I had white roses with stargazer lilies.

there have already been some great suggestions...i'd like to add carnations..white ones..you can have the tips dyed to match your wedding colors, and they last for awhile, and smell great..not to mention they go well with other flowers, especially roses.
