No, it won't take that for me. He is my Lord and Savior, and I've turned over the controls to HIM. God bless you for such a passionate witnessing.

Why do you care so much what someone else thinks. You should understand that you believe what your experiences has brought to you and that goes the same for everybody else in the world. For some people yes it will take " seeing him flying on a cloud to accept" religion is FAITH look up the definition. That is why doubting Thomas is mentioned in the bible. You don't need to focus on other religions. Just so you know Muslims actually do believe that Jesus existed it is in there text. They just don't believe in him the way you do. As for the Jewish faith they don't acknowledge Jesus in their texts. So basically you are just an ignorant twit. Get an education. If you can't go to school then start reading you are in need of enlightenment. Open your mind I promise you won't explode or feel pain from it.

Jesus was a con-artist. Congrats, you are one of the many who have proven P.T. Barnum right about a sucker being born every minute.
Lets look at the facts, shall we? I'll keep this extremely short, because I don't want to be at this all night.
Jesus was supposedly born of a virgin, yet the Bible contains his geneology as having him decended from David on his fathers side...
His early years are conveniently missing from the Bible. In fact, the Gospels seem to lack any knowledge of the bulk of his life.
His ministry follows the career path of an exorcist, which was a common career in his day. The Torah actually contains the process for casting out demons and raising the dead. Incidentally, raising the dead was a common practice among Jewish exorcists as their careers developed. This has been thoroughly documented in Jewish secular history.
As per Paul, the church of Christ "lives or dies in the resurrection", and yet even the disciples do not agree on the details of the cruxifiction, or even how long Jesus was in his tomb. Personally, I think the statement was made to draw attention away from the problem of Jesus lineage through Joseph.
Jesus was a habitual liar, and contradicted himself repeatedly. Among my personal favorites is the statement that his followers can "drink any deadly thing and they will not be harmed" and his constant lying about prayer. If you actually read what he says, he claims that if you are faithful and pray in his name, your prayers will be granted. Nowhere does he say that your prayers will only be granted if it fits into some master plan of Gods, or that you're prayers will not be answered if it's not in your best interest.
Millions of people every day pray for things they don't get.
The gospels contain many contradictions, often within the same book. For instance, John 8:18,14 says that Christs witness of himself is true, which is a complete reversal of John 5:31. The disciples did not even agree on whether Christs mission was peaceful or not.
Finally, and most importantly, there are about 50 prophesies in the Bible concerning the messiah that Jesus failed to fulfill. Considering that his disciples were either unable to read and write until AFTER his death, or foreigners, they most likely only had a basic knowledge of these prophesies or were ignorant of them altogether.
Not surprisingly, Jesus' disciples and the bulk of his followers were uneducated peasants. Most of his followers who were educated and wealthy were men the priests despised as godless. Aside from the 3 wise men, and John the Baptist (a heretic) there is no mention of Jesus converting or being revered by any actual Jewish priests.
All in all, the evidence is not in favor of Jesus the Messiah, but it does favor Jesus the used car salesman.

Think about it....the idea of a rapture doesn't make sense. The Bible says, "Every eye shall see Him." Considering that everyone on this planet does not share direct line of sight with a given point in the sky, the Bible verse describes an impossible situation.
Jesus was a real person. You have the same capabilites of spiritual ascention as did Jesus, but no one will be flying on the clouds without the aid of a mechanical flying device.
No one is coming to rescue you/us.
Healthy people seek an internal locus of control. They don't avoid personal responsibilty by waiting for a "savior."

If I believed the way you do then there would be no reason to stay alive. I believe just as strongly that there is no reason to believe any religion has the answers to anything. I have a good life and enjoy it very much even though i have to deal with some of the most atrocities ever perpetrated on this planet.

Yes, Jesus is real. However, the Scriptures explain that his return is discerned by the same group that observed his departure.
Who observed Jesus' ascension to heaven? His true followers only.
Interestingly, what was Jesus' last command to the Christian congregation, his true followers?
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

I dont think it will take that for some people to believe that he is here with us. Unfortunate many people dont have faith to see that All Mighty God is Jesus himself, and have grown tired to see all the atrocities commited on a daily basis by powerful men, families, nations, without punishment. It is sad to see how many children that are pure in spirit are being raped, tortured, and killed each day, yet Jesus does not show himself to punished the perpetrators. Going to church school we are teached that we are all sons and daughters of god, and that God (Jesus) loves us all; So how is that he allows those of pure spirit to be torture?

Lindsy,
I respect your feelings and your beliefs. However; even though I was born an Episcopalian, my path lay's with the way's of the Shaman, Medicine men and women of old and the ancient Celtic beliefs in natural cures and healing. It is not to say I do not believe that there is a higher Deity, one who serves over all other deities that many others believe in. If there is one factual thing in my life it's that I do believe there is a higher Deity that all others deities look to for guidance when their own answers fail to meet the expectations of those who worship them.
True there was a man named Jesus and supposedly he was the son of god, conceived by immaculate conception by Mary. However how could Mary be virginal if she were married to Joseph before she conceived Jesus? Is this to say that she never conceited her marriage that she was saving herself for another and not her husband? No one truly knows because it's in the past. We only have the word of MEN who wrote the bible and MEN who relayed by word of mouth the events that supposedly happened. Words passed down, generation to generation over time can become jumbled, mixed, confused, it's been pr oven many times over when kids play the secret game where they pass on a secret and see what it comes out to be at the end with the last person.
I am not trying to be argumentative, however I have my beliefs and I will always accept others and their beliefs for I do not turn my back upon anyone even if they do not believe the same as I do. Is that not the way of God? To love everyone no matter who they are, what they believe in or how the believe in it?
I can honestly say if I ever saw a man flying on a cloud I would more than likely check myself into a hospital to have a complete psych evaluation than honestly believe him to be jesus reborn. It would take much more for me to accept and believe if this same man were to bring back those who died during war, innocents who lost their lives due to rape/murder or even senseless accidents for me to accept that he were jesus. And still, he would not turn his back upon me even if I did not bow and kiss his revered feet in homage.
Yes I feel strongly about this, why because I have had others try to push their faiths upon me since I was a young girl who even went to church on occasion. I believe everyone has the right to their own beliefs and no one should ever tell them they have to follow their way because it's the right way. That would not be what God nor his son would want from his people, his creations if you will.

Will he be wearing a red cape and big red boots? So if that's what it takes for the rest of us to accept him, since YOU WILL NEVER SEE THAT, will you ever grow up and realize that while Jesus was a real person, he is not the son of any God? He was JUST a person who was working to overthrow the Roman rule of the Jews in Ancient Israel and was assassinated by the Roman empire for it. Read your history. There's more to reality and history than is inside your bible.

Jesus is real, he was crucified, as he died for our sins, not his, but ours; his Crucifixion was so we could be forgiven; the Father God gave his only begotten son to suffer our transgression and inequities, so by his stripes we are heal...Isaiah 53:5, he was wounded for our transgression, bruised for our inequities and by his stripes we are healed; sin goes all the way back to Adam and Eve, that ate or partook of the forbidden fruit, from the tree of life, after being told they could enjoy all that was in the garden of Eden, but not to touch or partake from the tree of life, an apple tree, yet Satan tempted them and they did just the opposite of what God instructed them to do!
We have sin in the world because of the act by Adam and Eve; everyone has a right to their own beliefs, but it is what is written in Gods word, the Holy Bible that will be fulfilled! Adam and Eve had two sons, Cain and Abel, and out of a jealous rage, Cain Killed Abel that was admired by God, for his sacrifices, and due to the fact that God did not give Cain the same favor, Cain committed the first Murder of the history of this earth!
So many scriptures and rules, but none top the Ten Commandments that were carved or set in stone by the finger of God with Moses on Mount Sinai! No, it will NOT take seeing Jesus on a cloud for me to believe in him! I am a Christ follower and I yield my life to him, and one day, without a doubt he shall return for his church!

I understand it spiritually .
Water is words, (evangelism ) according to the bible.
Jesus appears in a cloud of testimony , being a group of people who break bread. Where there was darkness on earth misunderstanding ) light appears (understanding ) hence 'let there be light'.
Could this be why so many people are still waiting for Him to appear physically ?
