They do the following acts.
1) They call Muhammad pbuh a false prophet.
2) They mock my ways of prayer, Quran and my Allah.
I want to tell them
1) A good person never compare and discriminate, if you got better religion and better prophet, it is good for you.
2)Christians were not taught to hate by Jesus.
3) Mohammad was one of the best known noble person in Arabia, so how can that person turn into evil all of sudden?
4)My Allah is the same God who created Adam and Eve. By hating Allah you hate God of Adam and Abraham.
5)They sketch my prophet, they know very well that i can not hate Jesus, so they disrespect my prophet.
This is non healthey and uncivilized way, there are plenty ways to talk about differences in friendly atmosphere.
and finally with such actions of hate, people of our religions will become atheists, so please stop these ways.

Rebecca i know every true person care for others but dear Islam asks Muslims to help others in the same way so that they can come to God and be saved from Hell fire, perhaps it is the duty of Muslim to invite every one to the truth. But i am reading bible because it is the scripture which was brought by a prophet of God.

Liet Kynes, Do you think honestly your answers are related to my questions? I don't find them any where close to my questions, the verses you quoted are in context when Muslims are in war. Please don't answer the question with a question.

Immi, don`t look for answers to questions this deep here, you are asking for nonsense. It appears you are a Muslim, and in many Christians minds,Muslims are viewed as homicidal maniacs, ready to kill any one they percieve as not following the edicts of Mohammed.Christians,at least in modern times, are more prone to live and let live. When I went to curch for the Easter mass in April,I saw a large crucifix in the alter,I did not take offence to Jesus bieng displayed,I thought it gave me a good look at my savior, and his dying on the cross for my sins was a reminder of why I am a Christian.I did not go shooting a Kalashnikov the air and burn a flag.I too believe that the prophet Mohammed and Jesus and you and myself were created by the same God,and I dont think the medieval crusaders were trying to take the holy land in the name of God,but trying to get land for themselves, and Sallahadin had every right to fight them. But terrorists, soiling the name of Allah, are doing a huge disservice to the Islamic faith, and extremists,Christians,Jewish,or Muslim dont help either.I think it is high time all people of GOD,Put down there guns and take up there holy books, and show a bit of respect to each other, thuogh I am a Christian,I recognize Moses and Mohammed as righteous prophets.God did not tell me to kill anyone because I think my religion is better than others.

Immi -- You have to understand first that there is a difference between those who are fallacious and slander and those that point out that they do not believe in your faith and state reasons why they do not believe. The first have ill will, the second do not.

You are free to believe what you will, and you have to let other people believe what they will. Now if they are liars or are mistaken you call them on it, but if someone doesn't like Islam because of what it truly teaches, you cannot be insulted by that.

Now let me directly address your points.

1) Muhammad cannot be considered a prophet by Christians because he contradicts the teachings of Christ. This is a fact. If Christ's teachings are true, the Muhammad is a false prophet.
2) People are often afraid of strange things. The Muslim 5 daily prayer structure is lifted from the monastic Liturgy of the Hours, which in turn is based on the Jewish cycle of prayer. There is commonality here. The Quran to the western reader is a terribly strange thing. A good person does discriminate. If one compares prophets, Muslims believe that their final prophet Mohammed was a man, Christians believe that their final prophet Christ was God. Mohammad could only relay Allah's words, but Christ spoke the words of God. A better religion, consider that the Qu'ran teaches that all religion is false save Islam and salvation comes through submission to the text of the Qu'ran and Islamic law which brings about the rule of the Qu'ran. Consider then that Catholicism teaches that, while Catholicism is the fullness of truth, all other religions have some truth and that man might know God by the light of natural reason alone. Consider that salvation comes through love and dying to self.
2)"Christians were not taught to hate by Jesus." Is this likewise of Mohammad?
Qur’an:8:7 “Allah wished to confirm the truth by His words: ‘Wipe the infidels out to the last.’”
Qur’an:8:12 “Your Lord inspired the angels with the message: ‘I am with you. Give firmness to the Believers. I will terrorize the unbelievers. Therefore smite them on their necks and every joint and incapacitate them. Strike off their heads and cut off each of their fingers and toes.”
Qur’an:8:67 “It is not fitting for any prophet to have prisoners until he has made a great slaughtered in the land.”
3) If the above is evil, then we know how. If the above is not evil, then we do not say Mohammad is evil.
4) My Catholic faith teaches that is what you believe and we are to respect that you believe that. You worship one God who created all things. We worship one God who created all things. That they are the same God is a debatable point.
5)There is evil disrespect, which is to lie against a man and to treat him less than a human person. However, respect is based on the honor that is due to a person. If Mohammad is honorable and has done good things in this world, then he deserves respect. If he has not, then he deserves less respect, but we should always treat him as a human person created in the image of God at the very least.

Now hopefuly we can see why it is difficult. But even though it is difficult, there is still should be respect.

I feel that no one should discriminate against anyone's religious beliefs. Islam and Christianity are actually quite similar. And yes, I believe we do have the same God. But most people, especially Christians, who discriminate against Islam are just intimidated by the religion and Muslims because of what they see on TV and whats happening in Iraq. Alot of these people have never even met a Muslim in their entire life. I for one, live in Chicago Ridge on the south side of Chicago where there is a large population of Muslims. I just moved here a year ago and I'll admit before then I was pretty uneasy about the thought of Muslims in America after 9/11. But I went to school for an entire year here and have come to realize that Muslims are just like anyone else. They're no different from all other Americans. Actually, all the friends I made at the school out here are Muslims, and they're real cool people.
The best that I can do for you is to tell you to never mind those narrow minded people. They're ignorant to the beliefs and feelings of people other than themselves.

Because they aren't real Christians and they are uneducated fools. These people don't realize how closely related the 2 religions are... 2 branches off the same tree if you will. I am not Christian (though I was raised Christian), so I can only guess to their behavior from having witnessed it so often... often being told how I am going to hell because I don't believe Jesus is the son of God and everything else the church teaches. I have learned that there is no way to talk to these people. Logic does not work, they only see what they believe and will never see anything different. I have learned to stop wasting my breath, my time and my energy... they are not worth it.

May be because of the 'fear' that some other religion may become more popular and 'overtake' their own religion. As you rightly said, it is not at all necessary to compare. Everyone can choose according to his own suitable needs. Again you are right that differences can be discussed in a really friendly atmosphere. People choose friendly atmosphere only when there is no fear of such 'overtaking' ! All the more, the inner urge to know the truth should be sincere and genuine, and not out of negative emotions like fear, anger jealousy, intolerance etc.

My dear friend I think you need to re-phrase your question, no sane person of any religion ever criticize others beliefs. Such acts are the handy work of ignorant people who tend to belittle others by humiliating their religious believes. No person whither be a Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Jew or even an Atheist can ever humiliate others believes. Like I am sure you wont do the same deliberately despite what people may say against your faith? However, I believe (and you may not agree with me) that by posing such a question you did exactly what hurt you by implying that Christians does this to your faith.

Question back: Why do some Imam call infidel as pigs? On general, the variety of Christian churches including the catholic pope seems - to me - more friendly towards Islam as vice versa. At least what high ranking clerics from Saudi Arabia and Egypt, which are considered as most influential in Muslim world, is concerned, you will see little more than hate.

I am a Christian. I do not mock your religious beliefs, but, if I really care about you, I will try to help you understand what the Bible teaches because, being a Christian, I love you, and want you to have eternal life in Heaven, not Hell. If I did not believe this, I would not be a true child of God. It makes me sad when even other people who claim to be Christians say they believe what they believe and let others have their beliefs without trying to rescue them from Hell.
It would be the same if I saw your home was on fire and said everyone has a right to stay in their home, without trying to warn you that it was on fire. Who would be the one who loved you most, the one who warned you, or the one who let you stay in the burning home?

"Some" Christians and not All! Some Christians are caught up with the war,9/11 attacks and etc... You should pray that ur people or religion are not involved in such acts. People who believe in God had Jesus KILLED. Certain acts of hatred ,you say, shouldn't cause people to sway from their beliefs regardless of what people speak. If they are weak minded it's because of ur religion not others influence.

Whosoever mocks any one's religion is not less than an idiot. How dare can people abuse or make fun of other religions. As concerned with Christians only few of them mock other's religion as they are narrow and insolent people. All religions are but the different paths to one and the same God. When they do so they are doing the deadliest and worst sin and the punishment which is stored for them is very severe and they will have to get their punishment in this birth and on this earth only. If anyone abuses or mocks any religion, he is abusing himself as all of has God in ourselves. So you shouldn't be worried about atheists as they will realise the glory of God one day.
