the boys are outside in the tent, the girls upstairs in the house. They went to bed around 2:30. Do you think it is "safe" now for me to go to sleep?

I'm actually feeling a bit tired. I have stayed up all night plenty of times because I'm a night owl, but yawn. All lights are out except the computer screen.

well, objectively, they arent going to do anything they arent already doing. if you go to sleep and they have a wild orgy, its certainly not as though you going to sleep put this into their heads. they've done it before. the question is do you want it happening on your watch? i assume all the associated parents know that it is a co-ed sleepover, and have agreed to it. they cant possibly expect you to hover over them all night. and usually, girls are not terribly willing to indulge in sex acts while their parents are in the house. wait until you feel that you have done the best you can, then go to sleep. of course, you could always rig a trip wire with bells on it in front of the girls door. kids will be kids, and that means that they will misbehave, but for the most part, are fairly good little human beings. if you trust the way you raised your daughter, then she will be fine. in the future, dont agree to something if youre not sure you can trust the parties involved.

Ok most of you have this wrong.
Alot of you are assuming about the guys - and their raging hormones!... That's not true. not all guys are like that, not all guys just want sex, and Im not freinds with any of those types. eww they are sickos! (incase you havent realized im the daughter of the person asking the questions... it was my party) and my mom had agreed to it, basically even suggested it, as long as the boys slept in the tent. Which they did, and they stayed there too - and the girls stayed upstares.
However, im kinda dissapointed my mother didnt have more trust in me. While in the house watching movies in the living room she peeked around the corner every 15 minutes or so. It was so annoying, we wern't doing anything wrong, she just showed she had little trust in me or my friends. (And each persons parents knew the co-ed thing, a few called to check with my mom that the guys and girls would sleep speratly.- 3 girls, 2 boys) And to make it worse when she checked in on us she talked about the movie for about 3 minutes and so we missed key parts! (and im not arguing about the "checking in" part, its just.. does she have to check that often?, what am I gonna do.. start a hot orgy in the middle of the floor!! TRUST PEOPLE!!

hmm what else.. When we woke up and went out to the tent in the morning I got in trouble for that. She said I was sneeking out! umm helllo.. that isnt called sneaking out, it's called the boys woke up and called Samanthas cell. I mean you don't wanna sit in a tent half the morning waiting for us girls to wake up. So when they called us at 7:53 we got up and went outside. I don't think that's a big deal. I really don't. However, for some reason my mom and step dad seemed to call it sneaking out and I got yelled at about it, and told I had screwed up. (Was I sopposed to wait until noon to get out of bed??)

How old are they and why did you agree to this?

No, it's never safe to go to sleep. You can pass the time by polishing your gun collection. If you don't have a gun collection, now is a good time to surf the 'net in search of cheap guns... then buy in bulk.

Seriously though, you should have prepared with some clandestine tools... motion sensors are pretty inexpensive, maybe some heat sensors, lots of sirens, lasers (invisible "trip-wire").

Remember, your daughter is just as likely to be a culprit as a victim.

If you try to stay up all night long, your gonna be sleeping during the day when they are all up and together.
