This years TdF will be a good one. There are a lot of contenders. Ivan Basso looks to be able to do a double this year having taken the Giro d'Italia with relative ease crushing his competition in the mountains. He is the favorite. But it has been a long time since someone has won both grand tours in one season. Team CSC is strong taking the TTT. Everyone is hyping Jan Ullrich. He shows flashes of his former self. But he is still riding into form. He is 3 kilos over his ideal weight for the TdF. He will be in the mix being supported by a strong team as well. Floyd Landis skipped out on the Gd'I. But he is riding well this year with the Tour of Cali/Georgia under his win belt. He also is riding on a strong team. He has looked strong in the mountain stages that he has participated in. Team Discovery is going into the TdF with no announced protected rider. Many are hoping to see George Hincapie dawn the yellow. He has been riding well all year. He was set up to win Paris-Roubaix until the accident took him out. But he says he is riding the lightest he has in his career. He is also riding on a strong team. The TdF is set up for Jan's strengths but there is still Basso, Landis, Hincapie to deal with. I am rooting for Landis. But it looks like Basso is the man to beat. Two weeks and counting!

I'm with Brzo Biciklo... Ivan looks good and last years he suprised us all. This year he's dominating. but it will be tough. I dunno about Hincapie, maybe, maybe. And I'm out of Jan's camp. The only Tour he showed any promise in was his year after his suspension, riding for the Bianchi team. But I could be wrong.
Floyd... *that* would be cool. And Levi is looking good. But I think Basso would take it, Levi and Jan duking it out for 2nd, and Levi 4th.
But who knows? Basso could get sick, crash out, or just plain not be in form. At least this year there's some excitement!
