Well. I listen to so-called white people music. the three genre of music I listen to most is classical, jazz and metal. And when my Black friends ask me why I listen to metal, I tell them the truth. Metal was basically the baby of Jimmy Hendrix. Before he did what he did with the guitar it was basically rock as known by Buddy Holly, the Everly Brothers, The Beach Boys, Beetles and such. So just as white guys and others have de facto like hijacked rap(thank goodness, let them have it)white guys embraced metal and took it further(thank goodness for that). Also when ever my Black friends wanted to try to clown me for listening to s0-called white music. If they piss me off I would throw on the opera(which I do like also).

Don't be a moron. All kinds of black people listen to white music. There are several rock bands that include African Americans, even.
Anyways, I think the big thing is that you aren't noticing the black people that listen to white music. Of course you're gonna notice the pale white guy in a 14XL White T-Shirt and denim shorts that almost cover his ankles. As a matter of fact, I stay on the lookout for them so I can get at least one good laugh per day. But when it comes to the other way around, they are more subtle.

When I was younger I went to a predominately black school, and they all listened to hip hop and rap. But when I moved school to a predominately white neighborhood during High School, all the black people (although there were less than 10 in whole school) at the school were surfer dudes and skaters and they were all headbangers.
So, your presumption that black people don't listen to white music really isn't true. It depends on where you live. I’m from So. Cali by the way.

Not all 'white' people listen to 'black' music. They're of course, "wigger's", you see them at the mall with their underwear pulled up above the waistline and their ballcap's on sideway's.
Hopefully it's a phase like "Disco" for example.

cuz white people just don't care...we like all kinds of music...and we don't care what everyone thinks...good question though...kind of like when a white person gets into a black person's car they can't pick up any white stations and vice versa.....go figure-it just don't make sense........
