Yes, that is correct.
Taking the Lord into an unclean body is a grave sin. That is why there is a moment of prayer before one goes up to take the Eucharist - to ask for that forgiveness. Also there is the community prayer "Lord, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the Word and I shall be healed."

First it is 11:27 not 11:14. I have put the entire text and you will see it have nothing to do "to reach inside myself and make very sure I was right in my Faith, Love for God, because if I took the Lord Supper and hated anyone or was bad at anyone I could be hurting my own self". Is this right? No. Paul is correcting incorrect practice. Try reading the verse in its contexts.
23For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." 25In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." 26For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
27Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. 29For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself. 30That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. 31But if we judged ourselves, we would not come under judgment. 32When we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world. 33So then, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for each other. 34If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that when you meet together it may not result in judgment.

First of all you have 1Corinthians 11:14 misquoted: 14Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, 15but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. That has nothing to do with the Lords Supper
look at 1 Cor 11 : 23-26 ... The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in rememberance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in rememberance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.

Taking the Lord's supper is a step in honoring His sacrifice on the cross. It is a good idea to look inside oneself and see that you are remembering his sacrifice. But making sure that you are of a "pure heart" is quite a big thing.

You dont could its merely that some church homes are legalistic , you may actualy damage bread at domicile and rejoice the Lords supper. What replaced into said by ability of Chriist replaced into "as frequently as you're trying this etc " He did not say you had to be in church temple or everywhere else .So at domicile as you've your meal and say (grace) you may also damage bread in the call of the Lord

I believe this scripture is often taken out of context to put the fear of God into people. I think (my opinion is) that Jesus was speaking to Judas in this passage.
