She's bored, lonely and she loves you. The hair tie obsession is that she sees them as a toy, which you reinforce by playing fetch with her. She needs other toys, particularly ones that require active and energetic play. She has a LOT of energy and she does need a way to burn that off. A lot of people get a second cat for this reason. It's company for the first one and a source of play and exercise. As for the thumbsucking, she was probably removed from her mother too young. It's a fairly typical behavior in a nervous animal. It relaxes her and makes her feel more comfortable as it is a nursing behavior. She needs more exercise and she may need other cats or pets to socialize with.

That sounds exactly like my cat (3 years old), at least with the hairties and the water bowl. I cannot allow rubber bands or hairties around her because she'll put them in her dish. I suspect it's a ploy for getting attention, but I don't know. My cat does not suck her thumb but she cuddles on stuffed animals as if they were mother cats. I do give her lots of attention and she is well cared for, but was in foster care (maybe the shelter) for the first half of her life. Just make sure she knows you love her, and hopefully she will get calmer as she gets older.

My first kitty used to bring me a rolled up sock to play fetch. If I was sleeping on the couch, she would throw it up onto my head!
Your cat may be unusual, but she reminds me of my girl, who I miss dearly. Treasure her differences, and play with her all you can!

My old cat use to chase crumpled cig packs and bring them back. If you did not throw them again he would bat them under the couch and lay and claw under the couch until we got them all out and threw them for him to chase and retrieve. He started doing it cause my ex hated the cat and visa versa. It was a bait and torture thing for both of them. Amusing to watch and see who would "win" the contest of wills!

Your cat sounds AWESOME! Don't worry about her, she sounds like she's enjoying herself. Be happy that she's happy. And have fun with her! She may be a cat on the outside but in the inside it sounds like she has a heart of a puppy.

Oh aw it really is so worthwhile! Yeppers, i be taught about cats and their wild and exquisite behaviors. Feury's mom; i comprehend all about that following you to the bathroom element!~My Milo will follow me everytime i bypass and infrequently do his element also. yet lately he has truly been getting nosier. Now at the same time as i bypass to the bathroom, he will surely "get into" my pants and lay down there. that is so humorous him crawling interior. And after I take showers, he's nice there on the sting, he doesn't even care about getting moist. The cat I had previously him, my Smokey Joe would drink from the tap. Milo is having a touch problem 'learning' a thanks to drink from. yet he's attempting, he nonetheless doesn't precisely comprehend a thanks to tilt his head surprising as he "paws" on the water attempting to convey it to his mouth!~LOL. i am going to positioned my finger on the tap, and it is going to run off and he will lick at my finger that way. i in simple terms won't be able to believe how a lot he loves water! Oh and the different element he does is after I come homestead, brushing him is the first element I do. both mornings and evenings. i am going to ask him "Milo pick brush?" and he sits up!~ On his decrease back legs. And at the same time as i bypass to comb him (he has an fairly weak spot for me brushing his whiskers and aspects of his face and neck) he will "push" into the comb at the same time as I in simple terms carry it. Now he's up on his heels at the same time as he does this. Wild, huh...I in no way had a cat that ought to do this. besides he likes to play football, yet isn't good at baseball yet. He manuevers the ball truly properly at the same time as it receives stuck less than places and could convey it to me in his mouth (probable questioning that is a mouse or treasure) to make me satisfied. And he does~

Sounds like a pretty cool cat to me. lol Seriously, was she young when you got her. Sometimes when they were taken from their moms too soon they will suck their toes or peoples earlobes. My mother has two kittens and they were young when she got them and one of them sucks her sisters toes to sleep or my mothers clothes, her fur or whatever she can get her lips on. Just enjoy your special kitty!! She sounds like alot of fun.

Cool...trade you for a 105 lb pitbull who loves to sleep with his head in my dirty laundry and tries to stick his nose in my butt every morning as I try to get out of bed and go into the bathroom...
