Mother and father are both unregistared. Can I still registar my female now while she is pregnant? How much would her pups go for registared compared to unregistared? Do I then have to registar the pups or are they automatically registared? How does this all work?

You can register the female anytime, if you have her puppy paper, singed by the breeder. It will cost more, $50, if it is over a year since the moms litter was registered.

Registration of the puppies isn't automatic.

If the dad isn't registered, then the pups can't be either. Both parents have to be registered for the pups to be eligible. Then it costs $25 base, plus $2 per pup to register the litter.

Unregistered pups sell for about 2/3 what registered pups cost in a popular breed.

I never price according to sex, but rather to how well they conform to the breed standard.

Here, unregistered Jack Russells ( Now they are called Parson Russells by AKC) sell for about $250.

Your odds are not all that great, to tell you the truth. In order to register a puppy, or a litter, the parents need to be registered first. You have to be able to track the puppies' lineage. You're best line of attack is the AKC or the CKC, as the previous poster mentioned. If you contatct them, they may be willing to make ceratain exceptions. though those are very limited. It will require special correspondence with either organization, however.

Good luck to you!

We lost the dads paper, but the breed is so distinguishable you can see they're purebred. We ask about 2/3 the paper rate, and they go in like a week.

unregistared F/M puppies get good reception so they cost more...Stay away from A/M puppies becase the reception is not good.... Try using a coat hanger when trying to get difficult stations using your puppy. Look for the C/D option and even a 5 disk changer for your puppy is worth buying the F/M puppy!
