Fundamentalist Baptist for sure is the Christian opposite of Catholicism. I used to be Catholic, I also used to be a Fundamentalist Baptist. In every single sermon I ever heard from Pastor Alex Montoya, he preached staunchily against the Catholic Church. That was in the mid-80s, I don't know if he's still preaching. The church was First Fundamental Bible Church in Monterey Park, CA.

Can you tell I still have a chip on my shoulder, Mr Montoya? You LIED.

Thats a hard question since the very idea of Protestantism is contrary to Catholicism. Practically everything is different. If I had to venture a theory though as to the one most unlike Catholicism I would go with Pentacostalism but not just any variety Pentacostalism. Id go with the snake handling, faith healing, tongues speaking, oil anointing, Pentacostals. It seems nothing about there services is like Catholism. They appear to be the fastest growing denomination in Christendom in fact while Catholicism is dwindling in numbers.

The Catholic religion is not a denomination. A denomination is something that has come from or split from another.

All Christian faiths believe in basically one thing, that Jesus Christ was born, and died on the cross for the redemption of the sins of all mankind, and was resurrected on the 3rd day ,and is in Heaven with God:
Where the Catholic faith differs with all other Christian faiths is the belief in (praying to mother Mary),and (confessing your sins to a priest): Other Christian faiths do not believe this way. You pray in the name of Jesus (not Mother Mary) ,you confess your sins to God,and ask him for forgiveness in the name of Jesus (you don't ask a human priest) to forgive your sins.

Starfish, I am Catholic and I have never prayed to Mary.

I ask her to pray for me, but I do not pray to her. If you read The Hail Mary one of the lines says "pray for us sinners". If you know of anyone that prays to her, they are wrong.
