Religions i believe are all based on superstition, and they do a good job at controlling the minds of foolish people. Most of the good and kind people i have met through my jouney in life were never religious
those who are too religious are always bad people

I used to go to church even though I was living with my boyfriend at the time. My minister (who had been really bad before becoming a minister) said something like this "how dare people who live with someone and aren't married come to church, and worse yet that they bring that someone with them". Kind of made me turn against the whole thing. Later this same minister became the minister at my mother's church and half of the congregation ended up leaving and going elsewhere because of his condemnation of people. I thought the church was there to save people, not turn them away. To me this is the worst thing a religious person can do. I prefer to believe that it is up to God to judge the morals of people.

Well whether it's depend on u actually. If u r too extreme well u might drag ur self to the doom. BUt nowadays people tend to put the blame on the religion which i think is the most wrong way to put the blame on. ANy religion teach us to be the best person on earth that we can ever be (like Islam). However, because of misunderstanding or lack of info about one religion the person become an extremist.
However people who really into one religion(Islam) they are the person who will not choose to be extreme but try his best to educate others to follow the good things

I don't like overly religious ppl ("convert NOW you heathen!") either, for the most part, but I don't think they're necessarily bad people. Yeah some of them can get really obnoxious, but in reality they're just trying to do what they think is right. And if I was to try to get them to live how I think they should live, I'd be as bad as they are when they try to convert me.

That may work as a generalization, and it's applied to a lot of the people that I've met as well, but I doubt that it's universally applicable.

i beg to disagree. if u are talking about superficial religions then i can't help but in reality tghose who are genuinely religious are the kindest of all the persons in the world.
