It depends on how old YOU are. If you are under 18, then no it is not OK. If you are 18 or older, than it does not matter as much.

Four years age difference shouldn't be a problem in the long run, but what is important is now. It all depends on how old you are and how old he is and the lifestyles.

It makes a huge difference early on, say in college or high school years or soon thereafter, where a guy could be graduated or something and has a career and expects certain things while you are still trying to figure out who you are and turning in papers or running around interning. If you are say in your mid twenties or older and have already started to establish your life, then it really shouldn't change your feelings for this guy. You should not date him if you are in high school!

It really should just be based on if you know whether or not your lifestyles are compatible. If he has a life that you cannot keep up with or one that is too slow for you, then that will be a problem. Four years really is not a big age gap compared to coupled who are 10, 20, or even more years apart, and they still manage to make it work because they love each other.

If you enjoy the same things and like being in each others company, then just because he has four years more experience of being out in the world and seeing different things doesn't mean you cannot have an honest connection with him! You might as well try it out with a couple dates and see what happens. I think that you will be able to tell soon enough if he is right for you.

Hope it works out!

It would be OK if you are both over the age of 18. Older guys too often take advantage of young girls. Neither girls nor guys should date before the age of 16 and then it is best to date in groups. It's a lot safer.

well yeah it is ok to date someone older than you. I myself am dating a guy much older than me, whom i happen to have met at webdatedotcom. and all's pretty well between the two of us. I guess it's a good thing that he's much older than I am since he already knows how to handle a relationship and he understands me more. plus older guys are more intellectually and emotionally mature compared to guys who are of the same age. lastly, age shouldn't be a hindrance at all... if you like or love someone, go for it!

It depends on your age. I have a 17 year old and I would not allow it. Ask her it has already happened in my house. I told her if it was true he would wait...well he is married now and she is not with him. if you are 16 NO if you are 17 No if you are 18 your choice but you live with the choice and the actionst there after.

Angel girl is wrong, their is an age limit on love. It's 18 years old, if both of you are over 18, I say go for it. If he is and you're not, he could go to jail and be listed as a sex offender for life. Don't do that to someone you like!

This depends completely on your age. Once you are 20, four years' difference is perfectly alright. If you are a teenager, then the most should be two years--anything else is asking for trouble.

Yes it is but if you are not over eighteen and he is it can be a problem from a legal standpoint.Especially if there is intimacy involved. If you are both of legal age there is nothing wrong with it at all as long as it is not important to you.
