We cannot push the river - we must wait for it to turn how we want. There are steps that must be taken, lessons to be learned along the way. That is why we come here. Why take all the energy to make this world and our whole like if we are gonna keep hitting the hint button, or skipping ahead?
Peace - the plan is being implemented. A positive outcome awaits your fond expectations. Visualize the desired outcome and do not waiver. All is illuminated in due time.

God answers sincere prayers immediately. Sometimes we don't listen all the way because we don't really like the answer, or we wouldn't really want to do what it would take. Sometimes the answer is no, or wait. Sometimes the answer is on its way . . . like, if you (pretending you are a girl) prayed for a good husband, then maybe God is already arranging it, but it takes a while, because your future hubbie has some things to learn first, or is distracted, or because you have some things to learn first, or because in order for it to happen your future hubbie has to get a different job and then get transferred to a different city and then . . i mean, sometimes it might just take a while, and we are thinking its not an answer when it is being answered - its processing. Sometimes it is helpful to modify the question; to change what we are asking for. That might help us recognize an answer. For instance, if you are fighting with your mom, and you pray for your mom to be nice, and nothing happens, and you think your prayers aren't answered, maybe change it a little. for instance, ask for idea of what you could do to improve the relationship, or ask for more understanding/love/appreciation for your mom. and if you follow through with your part, you'll start to see your prayers answered. instead of asking why, for instance, you could ask, what can i learn. well, i hope that helps a little. its kinda hard to know what to say when i don't know what the situation is. I do know that God knows you, though, and that he cares about you and loves you, and he is glad to help you and he does answer prayer. do your best to do what you think God wants you to do. Talk to him, for real. start by telling him what you are grateful for. Tell him everything that is in your heart. He loves you. Then listen.

God always has 3 possible answers to our prayers. Yes, no and wait. We always like the first one but the other two aren't always as easy to accept.
Sometimes there is sin that is coming between us and God. Sometimes our prayers HAVE been answered but not in the way we anticipated. Sometimes He wants to help us learn patience or to draw close to him.
Your question is common, yes even among the faithful, especially during difficult times. I have given you some possiblities, but to be honest we will not know fully why some particular prayers go unanswered (or at least seem to) until we see God. I wish I had a "magic" answer for you. Sometimes we simply need to have faith and trust in His sovereignty. I hope all goes well for you. God Bless!

Oh there is no way to know for sure that God has not answered your prayers. He has many ways of answering your prayers and He usually gives you what he thinks is best for you, not what you think is best for you, and that sometimes lead to the misconception that your prayers are not being answered.
Rest assured, as long as you are a good person, and not hurting others, your prayers will be answered.

God hears all prayers and answers all prayers. Sometimes we don't notice the answer because it is not what we wanted, and sometimes the answer is no or wait until you are ready

Do you answer His?
Rev 21:7: He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Find out what it is that needs to be overcome. Then overcome it and you can ask God anything.
Until you have overcome, God has to put condition on you. How else will it be brought to your attention that you have to overcome?
So when you overcome this material world (not being of this world like Christ btw), then God will love you unconditionally. You will be His son, of Him. And when you ask Him anything at that point He will have no choice but to fulfil it.
This is also why Christ has that all the power has been given him by the Father.

Maybe you are praying for the wrong things, the wrong way, or you aren't being quiet long enough for Him to answer. Answers to alot of prayers can be found in the Bible.

there is a requirement for God to answer prayers. We must first obey Him to keep His commandments and statuets. He will answer your prayers, in His time not ours.
Mt 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
Mt 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
