Does anyone know what this error message means?

I just re installed a game on one of my computers and when I try to start the game I receive this error message:
"The application failed to initiliaze properly (0xc0000006) Click on Ok to terminate the application"
Ive tried to reinstall it and restart it, no luck. What else can I do?

Also, I am not sure of the requirments, I downloaded the game from the internet..And i cant just get a new one sir! Its my moms anyway, she doesnt need a new one...I was just trying to use the game in two locatioans so my sister and I could play the game.

The program you are trying to use is causing a conflict with windows application.It is not compatible with your version of windows or is conflicting with another program that is running in the background.I would recommend deleting this program from the system and finding one that is compatible with your operating system.

Do you have the cd for the game in the comp when you are running the game (if necessary)? Does the game require you to have some additional things installed other than the game? Is your comp not capable of running the game?

Specifically, it's a memory fault: it's calling out the contents of a location of memory it didn't reserve or address properly, thus the computer detected it and closed it.

It's probably a badly written program. Move on and find something else.

XP is having a problem with Services.exe preventing the app. from initializing, the recommended action for this is to do a repair install, but for more details look here.
