if you have something stolen out of your pocket in a school, and you're completly allowed to have it in the school, the school says they will do nothing about it is it all right to take goods to equal value of what was taken?
my situation:
my c.d player £30, a £15 cd and £10 earphones where taken from my pocket and i took 2 mice a keyboard and a chair.
fair?

the way i see it the school as a community had stolen from me, so i was just balancing it by taking from the school community.

Well it's not really fair. You are stealing from all the stidents that way, depriving yourself and your friends even. Of course I don't agree that the school shouldn't do anything about theft. Surely they wouldn't want a thief in the school. However, whether you are allowed to take cds, etc. into school, don't you think it's not really a good idea? I would have expected to get that sort of thing nicked when I went to school.

Two wrongs do not make a right.

Following your logic, if your house is burgled does that entitle you to burgle your neighbours house?

Should the neighbour then do likewise a vicious circle is initiated.

Maybe your approach is the reason why society is breaking down leading to the final result of anarchy.

Given that the school refuses to take any action there is nothing to prevent you from reporting the theft to the police and of course your insurance company.

A civilised community is where all agree to adhere to prescribed laws and afford due respect to other members of that society.

Were you, at all times, taking reasonable steps to secure your personal items?

ok 1) 2 mice a keyboard and a chair isn't worth that much.2)don't steal from schools as it can get you expelled.....and 3) I'm still wondering how in the world you got a chair off the school grounds without someone asking what you're doing with a chair....

call the police. and tell them, what happened, they should get them back. if a teacher took it then they are supposed to give it back at the end of the day. if another student took it then it will get the head master/mistress of their big fat 'un and help you find the stuff.

but for future ref. mice and chair = not as much as your stuff. maybe mice and 6 chairs...........

lol. not really.

Two wrongs do not make a right.

Do on to others as you would have others do on to you.

Yeah, that seems fair. Keep doing it when you get older.
